The City of Logan is a local government area (LGA) located in the south of Greater Brisbane in South East Queensland (SEQ), Australia. Situated between the City of Brisbane to the north and the City of Gold Coast to the south, the City of Logan also borders the Scenic Rim Region, the City of Ipswich, and Redland City LGAs. Yugambeh–Bundjalung, also known as Bandjalangic, is a branch of the Pama–Nyungan language family, that is spoken in north-eastern New South Wales and South-East Queensland. Yugambeh–Bundjalung was historically a dialect continuum consisting of a number of varieties, including Yugambeh, Nganduwal, Minjangbal, Njangbal (Nyangbal), Biriin, Baryulgil, Waalubal, Dinggabal, Wiyabal, Gidabal, Galibal, and Wudjeebal. Language varieties in the group vary in degree of mutual intelligibility, with varieties at different ends of the continuum being mostly unintelligible. Jimboomba is a town and locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Jimboomba had a population of 7,423 people. Geography Jimboomba is situated on the Mount Lindesay Highway, by road south-east of Logan Central and by road south of Brisbane central business district. The western part of Jimboomba is bordered by the new suburb of Glenlogan and the Logan River; the only bridge within the locality is Payne Bridge on Cusack Lane ().
