Howard Vernon
Mario Walter Lippert (15 July 1908 – 25 July 1996), better known by his stage name Howard Vernon, was a Swiss actor and photographer. He had an extensive career in French cinema which spanned nearly 200 productions over 55 years, between 1945 and 2000. He was best known for his close association with cult filmmaker Jesús Franco, appearing in 40 of the director’s films, beginning with the titular character in '' The Awful Dr. Orloff'' (1962). Philippe Parès (1 January 1901 – 2 February 1979) was a 20th-century French composer of film scores, d'operettas and light music. Biography The son of Gabriel Parès, music conductor of the Republican Guard, Philippe Parès met Georges Van Parys at the beginning of the 20s. Georges Van Parys, one year younger, commenced from 1925 to compose little pieces (one-act operettas or musical sketches) and songs. Early life Jacques Dumesnil was born as Marie Émile Eugène André Joly on 9 November 1903, in Paris, France. Before becoming an actor, he received training as a mechanical engineer. After starting as a secretary at the aviation school, he became an industrial designer, a profession he left to devote himself to the theater.
