Electric Sun
Electric Sun was a rock band formed by German guitarist Uli Jon Roth after his departure, from the rock band Scorpions in 1978. They released three albums between 1978 and 1986. Their first album, ''Earthquake'', was released in 1979 and features guitarist/vocalist Roth, bassist Ule Ritgen and drummer Clive Edwards. Edwards departed, shortly after recording the first album. ''Fire Wind'' was released next in 1981, featuring new drummer Sidhatta Gautama. The band toured, for the next few years afterwards. While the first two albums were recorded as a trio, the third album was more of an ensemble project. The bass guitar (), also known as the electric bass guitar, electric bass, or simply the bass, is the lowest-pitched member of the guitar family. Uli Jon Roth (born Ulrich Roth; 18 December 1954) is a German guitarist who became famous for his work with the hard rock band Scorpions and is one of the earliest contributors to the neoclassical metal genre. He is also founder of the Sky Academy seminars and designer of the Sky Guitar. He is the older brother of fellow guitarist and artist Zeno Roth (1956–2018).
