Finders Keepers is a recreational treasure hunting program in Lincoln City, Oregon, United States. History Fodor's has said Finders Keepers was established in 1997. Other sources have said the program was established in 1999 via the Millennium Float Project. According to the '' Lincoln County Leader'', "Finders Keepers began as the Oregon Coast Festival of Glass, a celebration of the millennium in 2000." Finders Keepers has been described as a city-sponsored "hidden glass float event" operated by Explore Lincoln City that involves placing thousands of glass floats made by local artists for people to find along a 7-mile span of beaches between Roads End and Siletz Bay. Lincoln City, Oregon
Lincoln City is a city in Lincoln County on the Oregon Coast of the United States, between Tillamook to the north and Newport to the south. It is named after the county, which was named in honor of former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln. The population was 9,815 at the 2020 Census. The ''Lincoln County Leader'' is a weekly newspaper based in Newport, Oregon, United States. It was formed in January 2024 by the merger of the ''Newport News-Times'' and ''Lincoln City News Guard'', both published by Country Media, Inc. The newspaper takes the name of an earlier publication that existed from 1893 to 1987. The ''Leader'' is the newspaper of record for Lincoln County.
