Filter (band)
Filter is an American rock music, rock band formed in 1993 in Cleveland, Ohio, by singer Richard Patrick, along with guitarist and programmer Brian Liesegang. The band was formed when Patrick desired to start his own band after leaving Nine Inch Nails as their touring guitarist. Their debut album, ''Short Bus (album), Short Bus'' (1995) received RIAA certification, platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), supported by the single "Hey Man Nice Shot." After the album, the band would go through the first of many lineup changes, leaving Patrick as the only consistent member across all releases. After Liesegang's departure in 1997, Patrick recorded a follow-up album with the ''Short Bus'' Title of Record#Personnel, touring band members, who became full-time members thereafter. Rob Patterson
Rob Patterson (born November 9, 1970) is an American guitarist and composer. Background Patterson was born in Natick, Massachusetts. His first major act was the female-fronted metal band, Otep. He wrote and played on the albums, '' Sevas Tra'', '' House of Secrets'' and '' Smash the Control Machine''. He was a touring guitarist for Korn from July 2005–March 2008, after the departure of Brian "Head" Welch. In April 2008, Patterson became engaged to Carmen Electra, but they never wed and split in 2012. He is also one of the characters in the book '' Sex Tips from Rock Stars'' by Paul Miles that was published by Omnibus Press in July 2010. "Take a Picture" is a song by American rock band Filter. It was serviced to radio in September 1999 as the second single from their second studio album, ''Title of Record'' (1999). The song became a hit at the start of 2000 following its January 18 retail release, peaking at number 12 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and number three in Canada. ''Title of Record'' is the second studio album by American rock music, rock band Filter (band), Filter, released on August 24, 1999, by Reprise Records. The album's earlier sessions were marred with slow progress due to lineup changes and frontman Richard Patrick's decision to construct his own studio for recording. However, progress improved after solidifying the lineup and bringing in further production help. In support of the album's release, Filter performed on the Family Values Tour 1999, 1999 Family Values Tour. "Hey Man Nice Shot" is a song by American rock band Filter, released in 1995 as the lead single from their debut studio album, '' Short Bus''. The guitar line in the chorus was previously used in the Stabbing Westward song "Ungod" in 1994. Stuart Zechman, who was also playing guitar for Stabbing Westward at the time, took the riff and showed it to Stabbing Westward, who ended up using it as well. Lyrics and music The song was written about the public suicide of Pennsylvania state treasurer R. Budd Dwyer on January 22, 1987, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Dwyer had been convicted of bribery charges in December 1986, and was expected to receive a lengthy sentence from U.S. District Court Judge Malcolm Muir. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is a trade organization that represents the music recording industry in the United States. Ashley Dzerigian
Ashley Brooke Reeve (née Beauchamp; born 22 January 1983) also known as Ashley Dzerigian is an American bass player. She previously played for Adam Lambert, Maximum Hedrum, CeeLo Green, My Jerusalem and Beastie Boys' keyboardist Money Mark. She was a member of the band Filter and plays for Cher.
