Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup
The Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup (formerly known as the Homegrown Cup, the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup, and also known as the Filoil EcoOil ECJ Preseason Cup in 2024) is a pre-season inter-collegiate basketball tournament in the Philippines. It is contested by teams mainly from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), there have also been some invited teams such as the RP Youth under-18 team and teams from other associations. The UP Fighting Maroons are the current defending champions, becoming the second team to win back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024. The De La Salle Green Archers are the most succeessful team with four titles. Homegrown Cup
The Homegrown Invitational Cup is a collegiate basketball tournament in the Philippines. It aims to determine which is the best "homegrown" collegiate team. Homegrown players are those who came directly from the juniors team of the said school. As a rule, each team must have at least 3 players from its roster who came from their junior ranks. The league gained TV coverage in 2006 through Studio 23. 2017 Filoil Flying V Preseason Hanes Cup
The 2017 Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup is the twelfth preseason high school and collegiate basketball tournament organized by Filoil Flying V Sports. Arellano Chiefs
The Arellano University Chiefs and Lady Chiefs are the athletic teams of Arellano University's varsity program. The university is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA). Its program includes several intercollegiate varsity sports teams for women and men. History Originally known as the Arellano Flaming Arrows, the team won the National Student's Championship (NSC) in the 1970s. Years later, the Chiefs entered the best-of-three finals in the men's basketball division of the NCRAA in 2006 when they were defeated by the Saint Francis of Assisi College Doves. The Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) is a sports and academic association of 17 schools, colleges and universities in Cebu, Philippines. The CESAFI was established in 2001. The Southwestern University, officially the Southwestern University PHINMA (SWU PHINMA), is a private university in Cebu City, Philippines. Founded and opened in the summer of 1946 by two pharmacists, SWU originally started as Southwestern Colleges and achieved university status on December 11, 1959.
