Benson County is a County (United States), county in the U.S. state of North Dakota. As of the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, the population was 5,964. Its county seat is Minnewaukan, North Dakota, Minnewaukan. The county was created on March 9, 1883 by the Dakota Territory legislature, and was named for Bertil W.
