EFAO Zografou B.C. (Greek: ΕΦΑΟ Ζωγράφου K.A.E.), abbreviated as EFAOZ B.C. (ΕΦΑΟΖ K.A.E.), is a Greek professional basketball club based in Zografou, Athens. The club's full name is Enosi Filathlitikou Athlitikou Omilou Zografou (Ένωση Φιλαθλητικού Αθλητικού Ομίλου Ζωγράφου), which means Union of Philathletic Athletic Group of Zografou. The club is also commonly known as Filathlitikos B.C. The team's colors are red and white. The club is mostly known for being the first club that Giannis Antetokounmpo played for, prior to his being selected in the 2013 NBA draft, and playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as well as for being the club that the eldest Antetokounmpo brothers ( Thanasis, and Giannis), played with. Greek B Basket League
The Greek B Basket League, or Greek B Basketball League (Greek: Ελληνική Β Μπασκετ Λιγκ), is a national basketball league in Greece. It is also known as the Second National Championship, B National Championship, Second National League, B National League, Third Division, and in Greek, (Βήτα Εθνική καλαθοσφαίρισης) (Beta Ethniki Basketball). It is organized by the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). It is the 3rd-tier level of the basketball league system in Greece, and was founded in its current form in 1986. Nikolaos "Nikos" Gkikas (alternate spelling: Gikas) (Greek: Νικόλαος "Νίκος" Γκίκας; born November 22, 1990) is a Greek professional basketball player and the team captain for Promitheas Patras of the Greek Basket League and the EuroCup. He is a 6'1 " (1.86 m) tall point guard. Professional career After playing basketball at the Greek amateur and minor league levels with Filathlitikos, from 2008 to 2012, Gkikas started his pro career in 2012, with Filathlitikos in the Greek 2nd Division. During the seasons that Gkikas played at Filathlitikos, he played with players such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Michalis Kamperidis, and Christos Saloustros, during the club's peak years. During the 2012–13 season, Gkikas almost gained a league promotion with Filathlitikos, but at the end of the season, the club finished in 3rd place in the Greek 2nd Division, just missing the league promotion to the Greek 1st Division. Greek basketball clubs in European and worldwide competitions is the performance record of men's professional basketball clubs from Greece's top-tier level league, the Greek Basket League, in international competitions. History Greek professional basketball clubs have played in European-wide competitions since the 1957–58 season, when Panellinios took part in the European top-tier level FIBA European Champions Cup (now called EuroLeague).
