Fields is an announced planned community in Frisco, Texas, situated on a 2,544-acre site along the Dallas North Tollway, Preston Road, and US 380. Along with housing, office and retail space, parks and a hotel, within Fields will be the new home of PGA of America's headquarters, and the Frisco campus for the University of North Texas. Background In August 2018, it was reported that a partnership including Hunt Realty Investments and The Karahan Companies acquired what was then known as Headquarters Ranch, a 2,544-acre site on the northern edge of Frisco, from the estate of Frisco banker Bert Fields, Jr. The project is named after the Fields family, longtime owners of the land. The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. The Senior PGA Championship, established in 1937, is the oldest of the five major championships in men's senior golf. It is administered by the Professional Golfers' Association of America and is recognized as a major championship by both PGA Tour Champions and the European Senior Tour. US 380
U.S. Route 380 (US 380) is an east–west United States highway. The highway's eastern terminus is in Greenville, Texas at an intersection with Interstate 30, of which the easternmost 3–4 miles are concurrent with US 69 in a loop around the west and south sides of Greenville. Its western terminus is at San Antonio, New Mexico, south of Socorro at an intersection with Interstate 25. It intersected with its parent, U.S. Route 80, at Cisco until 1971, when it was rerouted along the former SH 24 from that highway's western terminus near Old Glory to Greenville. Former U.S. Route 380 from Cisco to near Old Glory became an extension of SH 6. The highway no longer connects to any x80 route. State Highway 289, known for most of its length as Preston Road, is a north–south Texas state highway. It begins at the intersection of Preston Road and Texas State Highway Loop 12, Loop 12/Northwest Highway in Dallas.
