Fey (Dungeons & Dragons)
In the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' fantasy role-playing game, the term monster refers to a variety of creatures, some adapted from folklore and legends and others invented specifically for the game. Included are traditional monsters such as dragons, supernatural creatures such as ghosts, and mundane or fantastic animals. A defining feature of the game is that monsters are typically obstacles that players must overcome to progress through the game. Beginning with the first edition in 1974, a catalog of game monsters ( bestiary) was included along with other game manuals, first called ''Monsters & Treasure'' and now called the '' Monster Manual''. As an essential part of ''Dungeons & Dragons'', many of its monsters have become iconic and recognizable even outside ''D&D'', becoming influential in video games, fiction, and popular culture. Origins While many "bizarre and grotesque creatures" are original creations of ''Dungeons & Dragons'', the inspiration for others includes mythol ...

Faerie
Fairyland (Early Modern English: ''Faerie''; (Scottish mythology; cf. (Norse mythology)) in English and Scottish folklore is the fabulous land or abode of fairies or ''fays''. Old French (Early Modern English ) referred to an illusion or enchantment, the land of the ''faes''. Modern English (by the 17th century) ''fairy'' transferred the name of the realm of the ''fays'' to its inhabitants, e.g., the expression ''fairie knight'' in Edmund Spenser's ''The Faerie Queene'' refers to a "supernatural knight" or a "knight of Faerie" but was later re-interpreted as referring to a knight who is "a fairy". Folklore Fairyland may be referred to simply as ''Fairy'' or ''Faerie'', though that usage is an archaism. It is often the land ruled by the " Queen of Fairy", and thus anything from fairyland is also sometimes described as being from the "Court of the Queen of " or from the Seelie court in Scottish folklore. The Scots word or ' "fairyland" has other variant forms, attested in Scot ...

Fey's family did not agree with her wishing to attend dance and singing classes, as they felt she was too young. For this reason, her aunts decided to include her in the group in some way. Meanwhile, Fey was recording demos for different labels until around 1989 PolyGram was interested in the Fey's concept, she was then 16 years old. Finally, PolyGram did not admit Fey into their label. Fey and her aunt Nohemi Gil were knocking on doors, until in 1994, until there was an opportunity with Sony Music, thanks to Toño Berumen, who showed interest in Fey. She signed the contract with Sony and Fey traveled to Spain to recorded her first album. She ...

Fèy
"" is a traditional '' Vodou'' folk song in Haiti. In Haitian Creole, "" means "leaf", and the lyrics of the song describe a leaf falling from a tree. Like many traditional songs in ''Vodou'' folklore, the lyrics of "" can hold many meanings, both religious and political. At least two bands in the 1990s sang adaptations of the traditional song. A version first performed by RAM in 1992 was banned throughout Haiti during the remaining years of the Raoul Cédras military junta. In 1991, a military junta headed by Raoul Cédras seized power in a coup d'etat, overthrowing the elected president, Jean-Bertrand Aristide. RAM, a band in Port-au-Prince, which had run afoul of military authorities before, first performed "" at the 1992 Carnival in Port-au-Prince, and then began to perform the song during their weekly concerts at the Hotel Oloffson. Despite no overt references to the political situation, a recording of the song was widely played on the radio and immediately taken ...
