Fengjing, Shanghai
Fengjing () is a town in Jinshan District, Shanghai. An ancient water town, it also has a new town with a Canadian theme and an industrial zone. It is a centre for Jinshan peasant painting. Fengjing has an area of , and had a registered population of 63,400 in 2008. It lies next to the G60 Shanghai–Kunming Expressway and China National Highway 320. Fengjing's railway stations are Fengjing station, on the Shanghai-Kunming Railway, and Jinshan North station on the Shanghai-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway, which opened in 2010. Old town Fengjing Old Town is a water town, or canal town, dating back to the time of the Yuan Dynasty. It is known for its ancient stone bridges, including the well known Three Bridges. When referring to Administrative divisions of China#Township level (4th), political divisions of China, town is the standard English translation of the Chinese (traditional: ; zh, p=zhèn , w=chen4). The Constitution of the People's Republic of China classifies towns as fourth-level administrative units, along with, for example, Townships of China, townships ( zh, s=乡 , p=xiāng). Folk Art
Folk art covers all forms of visual art made in the context of folk culture. Livan Automotive () is a joint venture company between Lifan Group and Geely Qizheng, a company owned by Zhejiang Geely Holding (ZGH). The brand was founded in 2022 following a merger between Geely-owned Maple and Lifan Technology. In China, Livan targeted the battery-swapping electric vehicle market. The joint venture manufactures electric vehicles using Geely's existing platforms under Livan and Maple brands. Gaoqiao () is a town in Pudong New Area in Shanghai, China. Gaoqiao Old Town dates back to the Southern Song dynasty. Gaoqiao New Town, also known as Holland Village or Holland Town, is a new town with a Dutch architectural theme. Gaoqiao is located at the northern end of Pudong, on the east bank of the Huangpu River and next to Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone. It has an area of 39 square kilometres, and had a registered population of 84,900 in 2008. The town is served by Shanghai Metro Line 6. Pujiang (; Shanghainese: ''Phugaon'') is a town in Minhang District, Shanghai, China. It contains Pujiang New Town, which is a new town with an Italian architectural theme, sometimes referred to as Città di Pujiang. Luodian () is a town in Baoshan District about from central Shanghai, China. Luodian Old Town dates back to the Yuan Dynasty. Modern developments include Luodian Industrial Zone, and Luodian New Town, also known as North European New Town, which is a new town with a Nordic architectural theme. Luodian is a replica of Sigtuna. Luodian has an area of 44 square kilometres and had a registered population of 49,700 in 2008. Thames Town
Thames Town () is a new town in Songjiang District, about from central Shanghai. Completed in 2006, it is named after the River Thames, which flows through London, United Kingdom. The architecture is themed according to British market town styles. There are cobbled streets, Victorian terraces, corner shops and red telephone boxes. High house prices led to few permanent residents moving to the area, causing many of the shops and restaurants to close and the area to become known as a "ghost town".
