Feminist Coalition
The Feminist Coalition is a group of young Nigerian feminists who work to promote equality for women in Nigerian society. It was co-founded in July 2020 by Damilola Odufuwa and Odunayo Eweniyi. Damilola Odufuwa
Damilola Odufuwa is a Nigerian business executive and activist. She is the Head of Product Communications at Binance Africa as of March, 2022. She is also the co-founder and CEO of Backdrop and is also the co-founder of Feminist Coalition. She is also the co-founder of Wine & Whine. Education Damilola Odufuwa attained a BSc. in Financial Economics with her final year dissertation on The Use of Microfinance Schemes on Alleviating Poverty in 2012 from the University of Kent. She then attained a master's degree in International Finance and Economic Development in 2013 from the University of Kent. Career Damilola Odufuwa began her career working on MTV Shuga and then worked as a freelancer producer for National Geographic in July 2019 for one month. Odunayo Eweniyi
Odunayo Eweniyi is a Nigerian business executive and activist. She is the Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer PiggyVest and co-founder of Feminist Coalition. Background Eweniyi is the first child of two professors that take up origins from Oyo State, Nigeria. Education and career Eweniyi graduated from Covenant University in 2013 with a first-class degree in Computer Engineering. Eweniyi started out to launch Push CV with Somto Ifezue and Joshua Chibueze after her graduation in 2013. Two years later, the trio went on to start PiggyVest in 2016. A hashtag is a metadata tag that is prefaced by the hash (also known as pound or octothorpe) sign, ''#''. Special Anti-Robbery Squad
The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) was a Nigerian Police Force unit created in late 1992 to deal with crimes associated with robbery, motor vehicle theft, kidnapping, cattle rustling, and firearms. It was part of the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID), headed by the then Deputy Inspector General of Police Anthony Ogbizi. SARS was controversial for its links to extrajudicial killings, forced disappearances, extortion, torture, framing, blackmail, kidnapping, illegal organ trade, armed robbery, home invasions, rape of men and women, child arrests, the invasion of privacy, and polluting bodies of water with the illegal disposal of human remains.
