Federal Government College, Sokoto
Federal Government College, Sokoto is a unity school that was founded by P.H Davis in 1966. History The school was the first of the first three unity schools, which were originally called Inter Regional Secondary Schools but later called Federal Government Colleges, to be opened at the beginning of 1966, the other two being Federal Government College Okposi and Federal Government College, Warri. In 1970 the first students completed their certificates. In 1971, the numbers of students taking the West Africa School Certificate (WASC) and the Higher School Certificate (HSC) were 70 and 53 respectively. Later the Higher school section was transferred to the Federal School of Arts and Science, which is now the Federal Science College, Sokoto. Sokoto
Sokoto is a major city located in extreme northwestern Nigeria, near the confluence of the Sokoto River and the Rima River. As of 2006 it has a population of over 427,760. The city of Warri is an oil hub within South-South Nigeria and houses an annex of the Delta State Government House. Warri City is one of the major hubs of the petroleum industry in Nigeria. Onyebuchi Chukwu
Onyebuchi Chukwu (born 22 April 1962) is a Nigerian politician who served as Minister of Health from 2010 until 2014. Early life and education Chukwu was born in Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. After attending the Federal Government College, Sokoto, Chukwu trained as a medical doctor at the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos, graduating in 1986. Donald Duke (born 30 September 1961 in Calabar) is a Nigerian politician. Badamasi Maccido
Badamasi Maccido (1961 – 29 October 2006) was elected federal Senator for the Sokoto North constituency of Sokoto State, Nigeria in April 2003 on the All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP) platform. He died in a plane crash in October 2006. Maccido was born in 1961, son of the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido, and went to school at Federal Government College, Sokoto. He graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with a Bsc in Building Engineering. He once served as a Sokoto State commissioner in the administration of Governor Attahiru Bafarawa. Fatima Lami Abubakar (born 12 April 1951) is a Nigerian jurist who was the First Lady of Nigeria during the term of Abdulsalami Abubakar from June 1998 to May 1999. After her reign as First Lady, Abubakar was the Chief Judge of Niger State from 2013 to 2016.
