Fatos Arapi
Fatos Arapi (19 July 1930 – 11 October 2018) was an Albanian poet, short story writer, translator and journalist. Arapi's publications have been highly praised by his readers and his peers and have been awarded various national and international poetry prizes. In 2008 Arapi became the first Albanian poet to win the Golden Wreath Award (Struga Poetry Evenings Award). Early life Arapi was born to Tol Stavre Arapi in 1930 in Zvërnec, Vlorë. Fatos Bećiraj (, ; born 5 May 1988) is a Montenegrin former professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career Early career and Budućnost Bećiraj began his career in his hometown of Peja with the local club Shqiponja at 17 years of age, before joining their city rivals Besa Pejë in July 2007. International career He made his debut for Albania in a May 1991 European Championship qualification match in Tirana against Czechoslovakia and earned a total of 6 caps, scoring no goals. Fatos Kongoli (born January 12, 1944) is an Albanian novelist. Biography Kongoli was born and raised in Elbasan and studied at the Qemal Stafa High School, in Tirana, Albania. He studied mathematics at university in China during the Sino-Albanian split. During the communist era in Albania, he was employed as a mathematician and did not publish any major works. Fatos Lubonja (born 1951) is an Albanian writer and dissident. Life Lubonja was born in 1951. He attended the University of Tirana for his education. Lubonja was in jail from 1972 to 1991 as a political prsioner. He suffered a nervous breakdown while serving his sentence. He is an outspoken critic of Albanian socio-political factors, i.e. right-wing leader Sali Berisha, Socialist Party of Albania, Socialist Party leader Edi Rama, former Kosovo Liberation Army, KLA leader Ramush Haradinaj, the Red and Black Alliance, and Ismail Kadare. Fatos Muço (born 17 April 1949) is an Albanian chess player and International Master since 1982. He is the record holder of Albania in terms of the number of gold medals won in individual national championships: between 1974 and 1989 he reached the highest podium 11 times. Fatos Thanas Nano (; born 16 September 1952) is an Albanian socialist politician who served as Prime Minister of Albania in 1991, from 1997 to 1998 and from 2002 to 2005. He was the first leader and founder of the Socialist Party of Albania and a member of the Albanian Parliament from 1991 to 1993 and 1997 to 2009.
