Fanny Sjöberg
Fanny Birgitta Josefin Sjöberg (born 5 November 1997) is a Swedish curler from Stockholm. She played lead on Team Isabella Wranå from 2007 to 2021, at which point she decided to step back from competitive curling. Career Juniors Sjöberg played in the World Junior Curling Championships in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018 as a member of Team Isabella Wranå. In 2014, her team of Isabella Wranå, Jennie Wåhlin, Elin Lövstrand and Almida de Val had a fourth-place finish, after they lost in the bronze medal game to Russia. In 2015, she and teammates Wranå, Wåhlin, Johanna Heldin and Johanna Höglund again finished fourth after this time losing to Switzerland in the bronze medal game. She was back at the event in 2017 where her team won the gold medal, defeating Scotland's Sophie Jackson in the final, and lost just two round robin games in the process. 2019 Winter Universiade
The 2019 Winter Universiade (), the XXIX Winter Universiade, was a multi-sport event for student and youth athletes which took place from 2 to 12 March 2019 in the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk. The 2019 Winter Universiade was the third Universiade hosted in Russia and second as an independent country. The first Universiade, when Russia was a Soviet Republic, was hosted by Moscow in 1973, whereas Kazan, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, hosted the 2013 Summer Universiade. It is the first Winter Universiade hosted by Russia, and the second time that the event was held in a former USSR republic (the other being the 2017 Universiade in Almaty). Krasnoyarsk was unanimously elected as the host city of the 29th Winter Universiade 2019 by an Executive Committee meeting in Brussels on 9 November 2013. 2018 Paf Masters Tour
The 2018 Paf Masters Tour was held October 18 to 21, 2018 at the Vianor Curling Center in Eckerö, Åland, Finland as a part of the 2018–19 curling season. The event was held in a round robin format with six teams advancing to the playoffs. The purse for the event was € 18,000. In the final, Team Isabella Wranå of Sweden capped off a perfect 6–0 tournament by defeating the previously undefeated Sayaka Yoshimura rink from Japan 5–3 in the final. In the third place game, Tova Sundberg, also of Sweden, doubled up on Aline Fellmann of Switzerland 6–3. To reach the final, Wranå defeated Fellmann 6–4 in one semifinal and Yoshimura beat Sundberg 7–3 in the other. AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic
The AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic (formerly known as the M&M Meat Shops Shorty Jenkins Classic, CIBC Trust Shorty Jenkins Classic and just the Shorty Jenkins Classic) is an annual curling tournament, held in September at the Cornwall Curling Centre in Cornwall, Ontario and sponsored by AMJ Campbell Van Lines. It is one of the first curling tournaments of the World Curling Tour season. The tournament is held in honour of the famous icemaker, Shorty Jenkins. The total purse for the men's event is $59,000 and $29,500 for the women's. The event was held in Brockville, Ontario until 2015 when it was moved down the Saint Lawrence to Cornwall. The event was created in 1996 by Jenkins and Gord McCrady to "repay the Brockville Country Club for funds used to buy a new compressor, chiller and condenser."
