Faller (styled as FALLER) is a German toy company founded in Stuttgart in 1946 by brothers Edwin and Hermann Faller. The company later relocated to the brothers' home town of Gütenbach in the Black Forest. Faller now specializes in making scenery, plastic model kits and other accessories for model railroads but has manufactured a range of toys during its history, such as model airplane kits, the 'Auto Motor Sport' (AMS) slot car racing sets and die-cast model cars. Their modern product line includes railway structures, houses and commercial buildings, bridges, amusement rides and terrain accessories in H0, N, TT and Z scales, as well as the Faller Car System (FCS). Chris Faller (born 1 May 1985 in Buffalo, NY) is the bassist of The Hush Sound and Company of Thieves. Faller provides vocals as well, along with bandmates Greta Salpeter Greta Morgan Salpeter (born February 12, 1988), better known as Greta Morgan, is an American singer-songwriter and musician based in Los Angeles, CA. Fred Faller
Frederick William Faller (July 30, 1895 – August 11, 1984) was an American long-distance runner who competed at the 1920 Summer Olympics. He finished eighth in the 10,000 m, 15th in the individual cross-country and fourth in the team cross-country event. Faller won the AAU 10 mile and cross-country titles in 1919–20, and finished second in the 10 mile race at the 1919 Inter-Allied Games. Faller's AAU record held for 25 years. He was inducted to the Road Runners Club of America's American Long Distance Running Hall of Fame in 1972. Marion Faller
Marion Faller (November 5, 1941 – January 15, 2014) was an American photographer. Faller's work has been shown in a range of exhibitions, is held in various public collections and she has received fellowships from a number of institutions. Life and work Faller was born Marion Sudol in Passaic, New Jersey. She studied at Hunter College before earning a Masters of Fine Art from the University of Buffalo in the photographic studies program at Visual Studies Workshop. Eventually, she returned to the University of Buffalo where she taught studio and history of photography courses from 1982 to 2006. In addition, she taught at Colgate University, Hunter College and Marymount Manhattan College. She often collaborated with her husband, experimental filmmaker Hollis Frampton, before his death in 1984. Newton Faller (January 25, 1947–October 9, 1996) the son of Kurt Faller and Ada Faller from Rio Grande do Sul, was a Brazilian computer scientist and electrical engineer. He is credited with the discovery of adaptive Huffman codes while an employee of IBM do Brasil in Rio. He was later the head of the Brazilian UNIX development project at the Electronic Computing Center of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (NCE/UFRJ), Rio de Janeiro. He started his career working with data compression, studying the classical Huffman Codes and was the first to propose the "adaptive Huffman codes". Rev.Otto Faller SJ (18 February 1889 – 16 May 1971) was Provincial Superior of the Jesuit order in Germany, educator, teacher and Dean at Stella Matutina in Feldkirch, Austria and Kolleg St. Blasien in Germany, professor of patristic studies at the Gregorian University.
