Fadika Kramo-Lanciné
Fadika Kramo-Lanciné (1948 – June 5, 2022) was an Ivorian film director as well as a screenwriter and producer of both fiction and documentary films. Biography Kramo-Lanciné was born in Danané in the far west of the Ivory Coast in 1948. He studied modern literature at the University of Abidjan in his home country, and then studied film at the Louis Lumière School in Paris, France. Kramo-Lanciné joined the National Office of Rural Promotion in 1975 and took charge of educational films and television programs on development issues. Career His first work, La Fin de la Course, was a 14-minute short story film directed in 1974. After joining the office of rural promotion, Kramo-Lanciné directed a dozen educational films and television shows between 1975 and 1981. Danané
Danané is a city in the far west of Ivory Coast. It is a sub-prefecture of and the seat of Danané Department in Tonkpi Region, Montagnes District. Danané is also a commune. The city is 25 kilometres east of the border with Liberia, 30 kilometres south of the border with Guinea, and 45 kilometres southeast of the Guinea–Ivory Coast–Liberia tripoint. Panafrican Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO) is an important biannual African film festival. Its most prestigious award is the Étalon d'or de Yennenga (Golden Stallion of Yennenga), named in reference to the mythical founder of the Mossi empire. The Étalon d'or de Yennenga is awarded to the African fictional or documentary feature film that best represents "Africa's realities".
