Factoría de Ficción () was a Spanish specialty television channel specialised in drama series, available on satellite and cable TV providers. It started operations on 19 June 2000, and was available through satellite platform Digital+ and cable operator ONO. The channel was owned by Globomedia, Grupo Antena 3 and Gestevisión Telecinco. Factoría de Ficción broadcast mostly Spanish TV shows but also some international programming. The episodes of Spanish series were broadcast by this channel about 1–2 weeks after they premiered on Antena 3 and Telecinco. It broadcast series such as ''7 vidas'', ''Los Serrano'', ''Mis adorables vecinos'', ''Hospital Central'', '' Motivos Personales'' and '' The Tribe'', as well as older series like '' Manos a la Obra'' and '' Antivicio'' and the Canadian series ''Are You Afraid of the Dark?''. Factoría de Ficción (; formerly Telecinco Estrellas and then FDF Telecinco) is a Spanish free-to-air television channel owned by Mediaset España. It is a 24-hour channel and airs both acquired and original television series and films. It is available on free-to-air digital television, and cable television. History Gestevisión Telecinco launched the channel as Telecinco Estrellas on 30 November 2005, broadcasting drama and comedy programmes from around the world. The channel broadcast on Digital terrestrial television (DTT), as well as on satellite and cable. ''Are You Afraid of the Dark?'' is a children's horror anthology television series created by D. J. MacHale and Ned Kandel. The original series aired on Nickelodeon in the United States from August 15, 1992 to February 3, 1996, and also on YTV in Canada. The pilot episode first aired on October 31, 1990 on YTV, and as a Halloween special on October 25, 1991 on Nickelodeon. It led to two revival series, with the first airing from February 6, 1999 to June 11, 2000, and the second airing from October 11, 2019 to August 13, 2022. The original series was created by D. J. MacHale and Ned Kandel, and was picked up by Nickelodeon in 1992.
