Thanh Hoa Football Club (), known as Đông Á Thanh Hóa for sponsorship reasons, is a Vietnamese professional football club based in Thanh Hóa. They are now playing in V.League 1, the top tier of the Vietnamese football league. History 1962–1965 After 1954, the sports and football movement in Thanh Hoa flourished, intending to establish a provincial football team to serve as the core of the development of the football movement in the province. In 1962, to be the core of the development of the football movement, Thanh Hoa Provincial Sports Committee (the predecessor of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa) established Thanh Hoa Youth Football Team, gathering football talents selected from local movement leagues. 2010 V-League
The 2010 V-League season was the 27th season of Vietnam's national football league and the 10th as a professional league. The league and cup winners would enter the 2011 AFC Cup. The bottom side at the end of the season get relegated. The side that finishes 2ND from bottom enters an end of season play-off match against the 2nd Division's 2nd placed side. Teams Ho Chi Minh City and Thanh Hóa were relegated to the 2010 Vietnam First Division after finishing the 2009 season in the bottom two places. The two relegated teams were replaced by 2009 Vietnam First Division champions XM The Vissai Ninh Bình and runners-up Hòa Phát Hà Nội. 2024–25 ASEAN Club Championship
The 2024–25 ASEAN Club Championship (or the 2024–25 ACC), known as the 2024–25 Shopee Cup due to sponsorship reasons, is the third edition of the ASEAN Club Championship, an international football competition between domestic champion club sides affiliated with the member associations of the ASEAN Football Federation. It will be the first competition since 2005. The revival of the ASEAN Club Championship was first proposed to the Asian Football Confederation in 2019, but was hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
