FK Vėtra
FK Vėtra was a Lithuanian football (soccer), football team from the capital city of Vilnius. History The club was founded in 1997 and was initially based in Rūdiškės, a settlement in Trakai district, and moved in 2003 to Vilnius city with the purchase of its own stadium. In 2004, Vėtra played in the Intertoto Cup and reached the 3rd round with 3 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss, including the elimination of Scottish side Hibernian FC. Their results in the 2005 tournament were not as successful, being eliminated in the early stages by losing both first round matches to future finalists CFR Cluj. In 2006, Vėtra played Shelbourne F.C. of Dublin in the UEFA Intertoto Cup, but lost 0–1 at home, and 0–4 in Ireland. FK Žalgiris' Home Stadium (), formerly known as Vėtra Stadium and LFF Stadium, is a Soccer-specific stadium, football stadium in Vilnius, Lithuania. The stadium succeeded the Žalgiris Stadium as the main venue of FK Žalgiris, the city's primary football club, and was home of the Lithuanian national football team between 2005 and 2022. Georgas Freidgeimas (born 10 August 1987) is a Lithuanian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Playing career Defender joined Žalgiris Vilnius before 2011 season and spent seven seasons in the club. On 8 February 2016, he was loaned out to Irtysh Pavlodar in the Kazakhstan Premier League. Andrius Skerla
Andrius Skerla (born 29 April 1977) is a Lithuanian professional football manager and former player who played as a defender. He is the manager of A Lyga club Hegelmann. He began his career in Lithuania with Žalgiris Vilnius, where his performances drew the attention of Dutch club PSV. After making only 25 appearances for PSV, Skerla was signed by Dunfermline Athletic in 2000. He spent five seasons with the club playing in almost 200 matches for the Pars, including the 2004 Scottish Cup Final where he scored in the 3–1 defeat against Celtic. Darvydas Šernas (born 22 July 1984) is a Lithuanian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Šernas has played internationally for the Lithuania national team. Career Club career In July 2011, he signed a three-year contract with Zagłębie Lubin. In January 2014, it was announced that Šernas would go to Perth Glory on loan.
