The 2017–18 Magyar Kupa (English: ''Hungarian Cup'') was the 78th season of Hungary's annual knock-out cup football competition. Újpest FC won the cup beating Puskás Akadémia FC in the final at the Groupama Aréna. The title-holders, Ferencváros were eliminated in the second round by Kisvárda FC. The Hungarian Cup (, ), officially known as MOL Magyar Kupa for sponsorship reasons, is the Hungarian cup competition for football clubs. It was started by the Hungarian Football Association'','' in 1909, eight years after the commencement of the Hungarian League. Besides all of the professional clubs of Hungary numerous amateur sides take part every year. These have to qualify through local cup competitions. The most successful participant in the Magyar Kupa has been Ferencváros with 24 wins, followed by local rivals MTK with 12 cups. The current holder is Paks, having won their 1st title in 2024. Zoltán Vitelki (born 13 September 1970) is a Hungarian football manager and a former player. He is the manager of FC Tiszaújváros. Playing career He spent most of his playing career in his hometown, at his youth club in Diósgyőr, but he also played in Kazincbarcika, Vác and Mezőkövesd. He played mostly in the first division, but also in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II. Managerial career After his retirement in 2008, he remained close to Diósgyőr football as a youth coach. As a diversion, he played two seasons with the then NB III Mezőkövesd team in the 2008–2009 season. He retired after the 2009–2010 season, in which Mezőkövesd finished 5th in the NB II Eastern Group.
