FC Spartak Trnava
FC Spartak Trnava () is a professional Football club (association football), football club based in Trnava, Slovakia. The club competes in Slovak First Football League, the top flight in the Football in Slovakia#System, Slovak league system, having participated in more seasons than any other club. Founded in 1923, it is one of the most traditionally successful clubs in the country. It has played its home games since incepton at Anton Malatinský Stadium, located in the very centre of the city. The club's anthem is Il Silenzio (song), Il Silenzio and it has been played prior to every home match since late 1960s. Domestically, the club has won six league titles and nine cups. Anton Malatinský Stadium
Anton Malatinský Stadium () is a football stadium located in Trnava, Slovakia, which is the home ground of the local football club Spartak Trnava. The stadium was completely renovated in 2013–2015 and has an all-seated capacity of 18,200 which makes it the second-largest football stadium in Slovakia. On 14 January 1998, the stadium was named in the honour of former footballer and manager Anton Malatinský, who died in 1992. 2013–2015 reconstruction The stadium underwent a complex reconstruction between 2013 and 2015. The project consisted not only of a complete reconstruction of the stadium, but the construction of an adjacent shopping centre named City Arena. 2022–23 Slovak Cup
The 2022–23 Slovak Cup was the 54th edition of the Slovak Cup, competition. FC Spartak Trnava, Spartak Trnava were the defending champions, defeating their Traditional derby, rivals ŠK Slovan Bratislava, Slovan Bratislava in the 2022 Slovak Cup final, 2022 final. Olympisch Stadion (Amsterdam)
The Olympic Stadium (, ) is a sporting venue which was used as the main stadium for the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam. The venue is currently used mostly for athletics, other sports events and music concerts. When completed, the stadium had a capacity of 31,600. Following the completion of the rival De Kuip stadium in Rotterdam in 1937, the Amsterdam authorities increased the capacity of the Olympic Stadium to 64,000 by adding a second ring to the stadium. In 1987, the stadium was listed as a national monument. Ajax used the Olympic Stadium for international games until 1996, when the Amsterdam Arena, since 2018 renamed Johan Cruyff Arena, was completed. Piet Keizer
Petrus Johannes "Piet" Keizer (14 June 1943 – 10 February 2017) was a Dutch professional footballer who played as a left winger. As part of the "Total Football" Ajax Amsterdam team of the 1960s and 1970s, Keizer was particularly notable during the successive managerial tenures of Rinus Michels and Stefan Kovacs (1965–1973). He is widely considered one of the greatest players in Dutch football history. Dutch writer Nico Scheepmaker once said: " Cruyff is the best, but Keizer is the better one". Sjaak Swart
Jesaia Swart (born 3 July 1938), commonly known as Sjaak Swart, is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a winger for Ajax. During his career at Ajax, he amassed a total of almost 600 matches, a record for the club. Biography Swart is Jewish and was born in Muiderberg, a fishing village about 20 kilometers east of Amsterdam. His Jewish fisherman father sold herring at the market. As a child, he and his father concealed themselves as non-Jews during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands from 1940 to 1945, hiding from Germans and Dutch colluders, who rounded up any Jews; nearly 75 per cent of the Dutch Jewish population was killed in those years. Anton Malatinský
Anton Malatinský (15 January 1920 – 1 December 1992) was a Slovak football player and coach. He was a technically adept playmaking midfielder and, as a coach, he was regarded as a good strategist. Malatinský won two Czechoslovak First League titles as a player and a further three as manager. In his coaching capacity he also led his teams to the Mitropa Cup and two Czechoslovak Cups. Playing career He played in 219 league matches and scored 79 goals, most of them for Spartak Trnava. Today, the club's home ground bears his name. Although his time playing for Trnava did not bring any championships, he won the league twice as a player with Sokol NV Bratislava.
