FC Politehnica Iași (2010)
Asociația Club Sportiv Municipal Politehnica Iași (), commonly known as Politehnica Iași or simply Poli Iași, is a Romanian professional Association football, football Club (organization), club based in the city of Iași, Iași County, that competes in the Liga II. The team was formed as ''ACSMU Politehnica Iași'' in 2010, following the dissolution of the original FC Politehnica Iași (1945), FC Politehnica Iași the same year. Because it was created by merging Tricolorul Breaza with ''Navobi Iași'' and started to play directly from the Liga II, the club is not generally considered to hold the record of the old entity. Between 2011 and 2016, the team was rebranded ''CSM Studențesc Iași'', but returned to the name of Politehnica afterwards. Romanian Football Federation
The Romanian Football Federation (; FRF) is the governing body of football in Romania. They are headquartered in the capital city of Bucharest and affiliated with FIFA and UEFA since 1923 and 1955 respectively. (; meaning "The Truth", formerly spelled ''Adevĕrul'') is a Romanian daily newspaper, based in Bucharest. 2013–14 Liga II
The 2013–14 Liga II was the 74th season of the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 7 September. The 25 teams were divided in two series (with 13, respectively 12 teams). The regular season was played in a round-robin tournament. The first six teams from each series played a play-off for promotion to Liga I. The teams placed 6th to 12th played in a Relegation play-out. The first two teams in each series promoted at the end of the season to Liga I, and the teams placed below the 10th place were relegated to Liga III. Fotbal Club Rapid 1923, commonly known as Rapid București () or simply as Rapid, is a Romanian professional association football, football club based in Bucharest, that competes in the Liga I. It was founded in 1923 by employees of the Grivița workshops as the ''Asociația Culturală și Sportivă Căile Ferate Române, CFR'' (). Domestically, Rapid București is one of the most successful clubs in the country, having won three national titles, 13 Cupa României, and four Supercupa României. Clubul Sportiv Concordia Chiajna, commonly known as Concordia Chiajna, is a Romanian professional football club based in Chiajna, Ilfov County, which competes in the Liga II. Founded in 1957, the team's best period was between 2011 and 2019, when it amassed eight participations in the highest tier of the Romanian league system, the Liga I. Liviu Ciobotariu (born 26 March 1971) is a Romanian professional football manager and former player, who is currently in charge of Liga I club Petrolul Ploiești. Club career Ciobotariu debuted in Divizia A with Progresul București in 1992. Florin Prunea
Florin Prunea (born 8 August 1968) is a former Romanian professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Prunea was born on 8 August 1968 in București, Romania and he started playing football at junior level in 1977 when he went to play for Steaua București but he was rejected, shortly afterwards going at rivals, Dinamo București. There, coach Fane Stănculescu used him as a striker in his first three years, then he worked with Gheorghe Timar who started using him as a goalkeeper and in the later years of his youth career he was coached by Iosif Varga, also during these years he was teammate with future national team competitor, Bogdan Stelea. 2011–12 Liga II
The 2011–12 Liga II was the 72nd season of the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The league structure had two series of 16 teams each. The first two teams in each series were promoted and the last three in each series were relegated. The season began on August 20. Teams Three of the five relegated teams from the previous Liga I season, Timișoara, Gloria Bistrița and Unirea Urziceni, did not apply for a Liga II license. The latter club was dissolved, while the first two appealed the relegation decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport and did not to apply for Liga II licenses. Previously they were denied Liga I licenses for the 2011–12 season and were relegated, despite finishing on non-relegating spots. Their cases were dismissed by the CAS on July 18.
