F.C. Pedras Rubras is a Portuguese football club based in the town of Pedras Rubras, a parish of Maia, in the region of Greater Porto. Brief history Founded in 1942, the club is seen as a good formation center, and eventually signed protocols with Leixões S.C. Leixões Sport Club (), commonly known as Leixões, is a Portuguese sports club from Matosinhos. It is organised into several departments for many sports, such as athletics, boxing, football, futsal, handball, karate, swimming, volleyball, wat ... and topflight club F.C. Porto. Normally a mid-table club in the country's third division, it dropped down a level in 2005–06. After a very good year in the following campaign, albeit without promotion, Pederas Rubras were again relegated in 2007–08, to the Portuguese District Football Associations. Association football (), the most popular sport in Portugal, has a long and storied history in the country, following its introduction in 1875 in cities such as Funchal, Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra by English merchants and Portuguese students arriving back home from studying in England. Rui Manuel Pinto de Lima (born 25 March 1978) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a left midfielder. Club career Lima was born in Porto. During his early and mid-career, he played for his hometown club Boavista F.C. on two separate occasions, also representing Gondomar SC, C.D. Aves (twice), G.D. Chaves, Vitória de Setúbal and S.C.
