FC Noah
Football Club Noah (), commonly known as Noah, is an Armenian professional football club based in Armavir. Founded in 2017 as FC Artsakh, they currently play in the Armenian Premier League. History The club was founded as FC Artsakh in 2017 and played its first match in a goalless draw against FC Banants on 2 June 2017. Noah played its first competitive season in the 2017–18 Armenian First League, finishing second and achieving promotion to the Armenian Premier League. After a disappointing 8th-place finish in the 2018–19 season, the club was sold to Karen Abrahamyan, who rebranded it as FC Noah in 2019. The name references the biblical Noah, whose Ark came to rest on Mountains of Ararat, traditionally identified with Mount Ararat. Noah won the 2019–20 Armenian Cup, defeating Ararat-Armenia on penalties. Abovyan City Stadium
Vahagn Tumasyan Stadium () is an all-seater football stadium in Abovyan, Armenia. Overview The stadium was opened in 1966 and currently holds a capacity of 3,100 seats. The stadium which was known as Kotayk Stadium until 2006, used to have a capacity of 5,500 spectators. In 2006, the venue was turned into an all-seater stadium, thus reducing the capacity down to 3,946 seats (2,498 at the eastern stand and 1,448 at the western stand). The stadium was renamed Abovyan City Stadium during the same year. Major renovation works were executed in 2021-22. 2024–25 UEFA Conference League League Phase
The 2024–25 UEFA Conference League league phase began on 2 October and ended on 19 December 2024. A total of 36 teams competed in the league phase to decide the 24 places in the knockout phase of the 2024–25 UEFA Conference League. Borac Banja Luka, Celje, Cercle Brugge, 1. FC Heidenheim, Jagiellonia Białystok, Larne, Noah, Pafos, Petrocub Hîncești, The New Saints and Víkingur Reykjavík made their debut appearances in a major UEFA competition group or league phase. Tigran Yesayan (, born 2 June 1972) is an Armenian football former player and coach. He played striker for the Armenia national team and for several Armenian Premier League clubs. Club career Tigran Yesayan began playing football in 1990 for Zoravana, which competed in the second minor league Soviet First League. Since 1992, Zoravana moved directly to the Armenian Premier League, in which the club finished bottom of the league and had its place relegated to the Armenian First League. However, after the season, Yesayan moved to Zvartnots Echmiadzin. After the end of the season, Yesayan again moved to Dinamo Yerevan, which played in the Armenian Premier League. 2017–18 Armenian Cup
The 2017–18 Armenian Cup was the 27th season of the football knockout competition in Armenia. The winners of the cup this season earned a place in the 2018–19 Europa League and would begin play in the first qualifying round. Shirak won the cup final in the previous season and were the defending champions. The tournament began on 13 September 2017 with the quarter-final round, which was contested by the six Premier League clubs and two clubs from the First League. Armenian First League
The Armenian First League () is currently the second level association football, football competition in Armenia after the Armenian Premier League. The competition exists mostly out of reserve teams of several Premier League clubs; however, other teams also participate. Armenian Cup
The Armenian Cup () is the main football cup competition of Armenia. In its original form as the Armenian Cup, it started in 1939, when Armenia was a republic of the Soviet Union. It served as a qualification tournament for the Soviet Cup, and it was not disputed by Armenian teams in the Soviet League pyramid. After Armenia gained independence in 1992, the cup became known as Independence Cup, and the final is held every year on 9 May. The 2024–25 Armenian Premier League, known as the IDBank Armenian Premier League () for sponsorship reasons, was the 33rd season of the league since its establishment.
