FC Baník Prievidza
FC Baník Prievidza is a Slovak football club, playing in the town of Prievidza. Between 1993 and 2000, Prievidza played in the highest level of Slovak football, the Corgoň liga. Following the 2006–07 season, HFK Prievidza was promoted to the Slovak First League (second level of Slovak football). The club finished in 6th place for the 2007–08 season. Beginning with the 2008–09 season, the club changed its name to FK Mesto Prievidza. In 2009–10, the club withdrew from the Slovak First League. Futbalový štadión Prievidza is a multi-use stadium in Prievidza, Slovakia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FC Baník Prievidza. Anton Švajlen
Anton Švajlen (born 3 December 1937) is a Slovak former footballer who played as a goalkeeper, making over 300 appearances in the Czechoslovak First League for VSS Košice between 1959 and 1975. He competed for Czechoslovakia at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo where he won a silver medal in the team competition. Švajlen played five matches for the Czechoslovakia Olympic Team (one at the 1964 Olympics) and three matches for the Czechoslovakia national football B team, but he never played for the first team. During his 14 seasons at the Czechoslovak First League he made 336 appearances (214 without substitution). Švajlen was also known as penalty taker. Ladislav Petráš (born 1 December 1946) is a former Slovak football player. He played 19 matches for Czechoslovakia national team and scored six goals. Petráš was a participant at the 1970 FIFA World Cup, where he played three matches and scored two goals. Petráš also took part in the Euro 1976, where his team won the tournament. After scoring Czechoslovakia's only goal against Brazil, Petráš celebrated by kneeling and performing the sign of the cross, demonstrating his Catholic faith in defiance against the Communist regime in Czechoslovakia, which was contrary to any religious belief. Anton Malatinský
Anton Malatinský (15 January 1920 – 1 December 1992) was a Slovak football player and coach. He was a technically adept playmaking midfielder and, as a coach, he was regarded as a good strategist. Malatinský won two Czechoslovak First League titles as a player and a further three as manager. In his coaching capacity he also led his teams to the Mitropa Cup and two Czechoslovak Cups. Juraj Kucka (; born 26 February 1987), also known by his nickname Kuco (), is a former Slovak professional footballer who last played as a midfielder for Slovak club Slovan Bratislava.
