FCA Global Medium Engine
The Global Medium Engine (GME for short) is a family of engines created by a joint venture between the powertrain divisions of Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. It has been in production since 2016. The GME family is composed by two new series of engine: one created by Alfa Romeo (codeproject Giorgio) for Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio, and the second (codeproject Hurricane) by FCA US for American vehicles made by Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep. Both are produced in Termoli, Italy at the Termoli Powertrain Plant. The first vehicle to use the GME T4 engine is the 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia introduced in April 2016, followed by the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The first American Hurricane was adopted by the new Jeep Wrangler (JL) in 2018 followed by the facelift 2019 Jeep Cherokee (KL) and the Chinese Jeep Grand Commander. Termoli ( Molisano: ''Térmëlë'') is a ''comune'' (municipality) on the south Adriatic coast of Italy, in the province of Campobasso, region of Molise. It has a population of around 32,000, having expanded quickly after World War II, and it is a local resort town known for its beaches and old fortifications. Once it was known only as a fishing port, but in the new millennium it is a favourite resort for Italian families. Termoli contains the only port of the Molise region. GAC Fiat Chrysler
GAC Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Co., Ltd. was an automobile manufacturing company headquartered in Changsha, China. It was a 50:50 joint-venture between the GAC Group and Stellantis. The company was founded on 9 March 2010. Fiat agreed to invest an initial US$559 million in the venture. Indiana Transmission
Indiana Transmission is a Chrysler, Stellantis North America automobile factory in Kokomo, Indiana. The first plant, Indiana Transmission I, opened in 1998 and the second opened in 2003. In June 2010 Chrysler announced a 300 million dollar investment to retool and modernize the Indiana plant for production of a future ZF 8HP transmission, eight-speed automatic transmission. World Gasoline Engine
The World Gasoline Engine is a family of straight-4 piston engines, based on the Global Engine Alliance design. Three engines have been produced: a 1.8 L, a 2.0 L, and a 2.4 L. The initial design of the engine block and cylinder head was handled by Hyundai as part of the Global Engine Alliance. The engines feature an aluminum engine block with siamesed cast iron cylinder liners (which do not allow coolant to flow between adjacent liners). Trenton Engine Complex is Stellantis North America automotive factory complex in Trenton, Michigan. It is composed of two plants, North and South. The north factory opened in 1952 while the south plant opened in 2010. Both factories manufacture 3.2 and 3.6 engines.
