''Extraterrestrial'' (also known under the working title of ''The Visitors'') is a 2014 Canadian science fiction horror film that was directed by Colin Minihan—one half of the Vicious Brothers, who co-produced, wrote, and edited the film. It stars Brittany Allen, Freddie Stroma, and Melanie Papalia as a group of friends who must defend themselves against an alien onslaught. Plot A panicked woman runs to a shop wanting to use the phone. After being denied entry, she enters a nearby phone booth, and is taken by a flash of light. April and her boyfriend Kyle leave to spend the weekend at her parents' cabin. However Kyle has invited his friends Seth, Melanie, and Seth's girlfriend Lex. Along the way, Seth sets off fireworks in the car and they are pulled over by Sheriff Murphy, who gives them a warning. They make it to the cabin and begin drinking and smoking marijuana bought from April's nearby family friend, Travis. Kyle proposes to April, which she rejects, angering him. Later ...

The Vicious Brothers
The Vicious Brothers are Canadian-American filmmakers Colin Minihan and Stuart Ortiz. They are best known for writing and directing the cult horror film, ''Grave Encounters'' and for writing and producing its sequel, ''Grave Encounters 2''. They also wrote and produced '' Extraterrestrial'', which Minihan solo directed. In 2015, The Vicious Brothers had premiered their 15-part anime called ''Temple'' which was based on ''The Guest'' screenwriter Simon Barrett. In May of the same year The Brothers had announced that they are making ''Grave Encounters 3: The Beginning''. In February 2020, a reboot of the 1998 slasher film ''Urban Legend'' was announced to be in development, with Minihan writing and directing. Michael Ironside
Frederick Reginald Ironside (born February 12, 1950), known as Michael Ironside, is a Canadian actor, producer, director, and screenwriter. He is known for playing villains and "tough guy" heroes, and has also portrayed sympathetic characters. Early life Ironside was born in Toronto, Ontario, the son of Robert Walter Ironside and Patricia June Ironside (' Passmore). His father was a street lighting technician and laborer and his mother a housewife. He is of English, Irish and Scottish descent, and is one of five children. Ironside attended the Ontario College of Art in Toronto and at age 15 wrote a play, ''The Shelter'', which won the first prize in a university contest. He also won the Senior writing award at Riverdale Collegiate Institute in 1968. Career Ironside specializes in playing villains and tough guys.
