Evaristo Muñoz Estarlich (1684, Valencia – 1737, Valencia) was a Spanish Baroque painter; a follower of the decorative style introduced to Valencia by Antonio Palomino. Some sources give his year of birth as 1671. Biography He studied with Juan Conchillos and, in addition to his artwork, was known as a dancer, theatrical performer and fencer. He moved to Palma de Mallorca in 1709 to paint the communion chapel at the and married a woman who said she was a widow of someone who had been taken captive in Algiers, which nullified their marriage. When the husband appeared, he had to return to Valencia, and served as a soldier along the way, although he continued to paint. Once again, he was offered marriage by a woman who said her husband had died in Sicily, but this time he was more cautious. Evaristo Merino Canales de la Cerda (died 27 August 1930) was the ninth Mayor of the commune of Pichilemu, office which he held between May 1927 and May 1928, although the latter date is disputed. Evaristo Martelo y Paumán del Nero Nuñez y Zuazo-Mondragón, 6th Marquess of Almeiras (1850–1928), was a Spanish aristocrat, writer and politician. He is known chiefly as a poet who contributed to emergence of the literary Galician and who is counted among protagonists of the so-called ''Rexurdimento''. He perceived '' galego'' as a royal language of ancient rulers, framed in the Celtic mythology, and opposed the concept of Galician as a rural folk speak. Evaristo Márquez Contreras (February 3, 1929 – January 24, 1996) was a Spanish sculptor. Early life Evaristo Márquez Contreras was born in Juan Gallego, a small village in El Madroño, in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. He was the first son of Evaristo Márquez Fernández and Librada Contreras Alonso. When he was four, his family moved to Nerva, in the province of Huelva. He attended primary school there. In secondary school he received a vocational certificate in bookkeeping and earned a certificate of specialization in mining. Emanuel Jesus Bonfim Evaristo (born 28 August 1982), known as Manú, is a Portuguese former footballer who played mainly as a right winger. He played 129 Primeira Liga matches over seven seasons, totalling 13 goals for Alverca, Estrela da Amadora, Benfica, Marítimo and Vitória de Setúbal. Evaristo Lucidi (4 October 1866 – 31 March 1929) was an Italian cardinal of the Catholic Church. He served as secretary of the Apostolic Signatura from 1916 to 1923, and was elevated to the cardinalate in 1923. Biography Lucidi was born in Montefranco, and studied at the Pontifical Roman Seminary, Pontifical Roman Athenaeum S. Apollinare, and University of Rome. Following his ordination to the priesthood, he did pastoral work in Rome, and served as director of the Institute of S. Girolamo degli Schiavoni for twenty years.
