Eugenia Campbell Nowlin
Eugenia Campbell Nowlin (née Eugenia Campbell; 6 June 1908 – 15 August 2003) was an American arts administrator, civil servant, teacher, and artist. She was the chair of the United States Army arts and crafts program for almost 3 decades. Nowlin was an Honorary Fellow of the American Craft Council starting in 1978. Biography Nowlin as born 6 June 1908 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico; her father was a Methodist minister and her mother was a teacher. She was raised in Choctaw, Oklahoma and Texas. Nowlin attended Southern Methodist University (1929 BA degree in fine art) and Texas Woman's University (formally known as Texas State College for Women; 1939 MFA degree). San Luis Potosí
San Luis Potosí (), officially the Free and Sovereign State of San Luis Potosí ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de San Luis Potosí), is one of the 32 states which compose the Federal Entities of Mexico. It is divided in 58 municipalities and its capital city is San Luis Potosí City. New York University
New York University (NYU) is a private research university in New York City. Chartered in 1831 by the New York State Legislature, NYU was founded by a group of New Yorkers led by then- Secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallatin. In 1832, the non-denominational all-male institution began its first classes near City Hall based on a curriculum focused on a secular education.
