Erika Hoffman
Erika Hoffman is an English actress known for portraying Lesley Bainbridge in the BBC comedy '' Brush Strokes'' from series two onwards. When the ''Brush Strokes'' series ended, she joined fellow cast member Howard Lew Lewis in the Channel 4 comedy series ''Chelmsford 123,'' where she played Gargamadua. Career In 1986, she played Anna, a 19-year-old pregnant German girl, in the ''Only Fools and Horses'' episode " From Prussia with Love". ''Brush Strokes'' is a British television sitcom, broadcast on BBC television from 1986 to 1991. Written by Esmonde and Larbey and set in south London, it depicted the (mostly) amorous adventures of a wisecracking house painter, Jacko (Karl Howman). There were 40 episodes spread over five series. Premise Jacko (Karl Howman) works as a house painter alongside his brother-in-law, Eric ( Mike Walling), who was married to Jacko's sister Jean ( Nicky Croydon). He lives with his sister and brother-in-law. Jacko also shares an anti-authority humour. In this case the butt of his humour is his boss, Lionel Bainbridge. ''Home to Roost'' is a British sitcom produced by Yorkshire Television between 19 April 1985 and 19 January 1990. Written by Eric Chappell, it stars John Thaw as Henry Willows and Reece Dinsdale as his teenaged son Matthew. The premise is that Henry Willows, a 40-something who has been divorced from his wife for seven years and is perfectly happy living alone in London until his oldest child, Matthew arrives to live with him after being thrown out by his mother. The episodes generally revolve around Henry's annoyance at having his solitude disturbed and the age gap between father and son. ''Fairly Secret Army'' is a British sitcom which ran to thirteen episodes over two series between 1984 and 1986. Though not a direct spin-off from ''The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin'', the lead character, Major Harry Truscott, was very similar to Geoffrey Palmer's character of Jimmy Anderson from that series, who himself featured in a scene where he tried to recruit Reggie to a secret army with very similar aims to Truscott's (a scene repeated, near verbatim, in episode 2 of ''Fairly Secret Army'').
