Endaf Emlyn
Endaf Emlyn (born 31 July 1944) is a Welsh musician, film, and television director. Early life Emlyn was born in Bangor, Caernarfonshire, Wales. He was brought up in Pwllheli and played violin in the National Youth Orchestra of Wales alongside Karl Jenkins and John Cale. Career Emlyn trained initially as a teacher but shortly decided to pursue a career in the media instead. Upon the founding of Harlech Television in May 1968, he became one of the franchise's first four announcers as host of the quiz show ''Up to Date''. He also worked as a script-writer, but had a simultaneous career as a musician. Music Emlyn has been producing music since the early 1960s. He is signed to Tony Hatch's publishing company, M&M Music. In 1971, he released his first single "Paper Chains / Madryn" on the Parlophone label. Recorded at EMI Studios, the A-side was named Record of the Week upon release by Tony Blackburn on BBC Radio 1. Bangor, Gwynedd
Bangor (; ) is a cathedral city and community in Gwynedd, North Wales. It is the oldest city in Wales. Salem (Vosper Painting)
Salem is a painting of 1908 by the English painter Sydney Curnow Vosper, depicting a scene within Capel Salem, a Baptist chapel in Pentre Gwynfryn, Gwynedd, Wales. It is noteworthy as a depiction of Welsh piety, the traditional Welsh national costume, and for a contentious belief that the devil is depicted within it. Mass reproductions throughout the early and mid 20th century ensured that the image became famous throughout Britain. Carmarthen Bay
Carmarthen Bay ( cy, Bae Caerfyrddin) is an inlet of the South Wales coast, including notable beaches such as Pendine Sands and Cefn Sidan sands. Carmarthen Bay is partially within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The Joint Nature Conservation Committee list Carmarthen Bay and Estuaries as a Special Area of Conservation. ''Pobol y Cwm'' (''People of the Valley''; ) is a Welsh-language soap opera produced by the BBC since October 1974. Derek Boote
Derek Boote (13 December 1942 - 29 November 1974) was a Welsh singer and actor. Boote came from Star, near Gaerwen on Anglesey. He was educated in Llangefni and at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. Boote played the guitar and double bass and sang with the Welsh broadcaster Hywel Gwynfryn; they later formed a group with singer Endaf Emlyn. Boote competed in the 1971 edition of Welsh singing competition ''Cân i Gymru''. Boote performed alongside Ryan and Ronnie, playing the original Nigel Wyn character on their sketch show. After his death, he was replaced by Bryn Williams. He also appeared in the Welsh-language television programme ''Dau a Hanner'' (Two and a Half). Hywel Gwynfryn
Hywel Gwynfryn (born 13 July 1942 at Llangefni, Anglesey) is a Welsh TV, and radio personality and lyricist. He started working for the BBC in 1964 and joined Radio Cymru at its inception. Career Gwynfryn joined the BBC as a presenter in 1964 and in October 1968, he fronted ''Helo Sut Dach Chi?'', the first dedicated Welsh language pop programme on the radio. It was a daring innovation because there was little vocal pop music in Welsh at the time and the show sometimes needed to be padded out with Anglo-American instrumentals. Soon however, Gwynfryn was receiving demo tapes from across Wales, and introduced a "patter" of Welsh language pop slang in the show which appealed to younger listeners. In 1970 he joined Children's Programming and worked on documentaries from different parts of the world. Giuseppe Henry "Pino" Palladino (born 17 October 1957) is a Welsh musician, songwriter, and record producer. A prolific session bassist, he has played bass for acts such as The Who, the John Mayer Trio, Nine Inch Nails, Gary Numan, Jeff Beck and D'Angelo. Early life The son of a Welsh mother and Italian father (from Campobasso), Giuseppe Henry Palladino was born in Cardiff on 17 October 1957. He attended a Catholic school. Gwynedd

Pentre Gwynfryn
Pentre Gwynfryn is a village in the Ardudwy area of Gwynedd, Wales about east of Llanbedr and the community of the same name. The village is at the confluence of the River Artro and the River Cwmnantcol. The inside of Capel Salem at Pentre Gwynfryn was made famous by the painter Sydney Curnow Vosper (1866–1942) who painted the 1908 '' Salem'' featuring a member of the congregation, Siân Owen, in traditional Welsh costume. The folds around the left arm of her richly embroidered cloak are said to form the face of the devil who has taken over this proud woman, although this can be difficult to see. A far more obvious devil's face may be seen peering in through the window, which may be the origin of the claim that the devil's face is in the picture.
