Emilia Brodin
Emilia Elisabeth Brodin (née Appelqvist; born 11 February 1990) is a Swedish Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder for the Damallsvenskan team Djurgårdens IF Fotboll (women), Djurgårdens IF. She joined previous club Piteå IF for the 2014 season, having been on loan (sports), loan from Tyresö FF for the second part of the 2013 Damallsvenskan, 2013 season. She has also played top-level club football for Bälinge IF and AIK Fotboll (women), AIK. Appelqvist made her debut for the Sweden women's national football team in February 2014. Club career Brodin, a Midfielder#Defensive midfielder, defensive central midfielder, began her senior career with local team Bälinge IF. The 2013 Damallsvenskan, part of the 2013 Swedish football season, is the 26th season of Damallsvenskan since its establishment in 1988. The season began on 13 April 2013 and ends on 20 October 2013. Tyresö FF are the defending champions, having won their first title the previous season. A total of 12 teams played in the league; 10 returned from the 2012 season and 2 were promoted from Division 1. Teams Djurgårdens IF and AIK were relegated at the end of the 2012 season after finishing in the bottom two places of the table. The 2017 Damallsvenskan was the 29th season of the Swedish women's association football top division, Damallsvenskan. It began on 16 April 2017, and ended on 12 November. Linköpings FC were the defending champions, having won the competition in 2016. On 29 October 2017, the winner of Damallsvenskan was settled, when Linköpings FC, in a goalless game against Kvarnsvedens IK, netted one point in the league table and gained an impregnable lead with two remaining rounds against main rival and closest competitor FC Rosengård. ''Expressen'' (''The Express'') is one of two nationwide evening newspapers in Sweden, the other being '' Aftonbladet''. ''Expressen'' was founded in 1944; its symbol is a wasp and its slogans are "it stings" or "''Expressen'' to your rescue". In professional football, a transfer is the action taken whenever a player under contract moves between clubs. It refers to the transferring of a player's registration from one association football club to another. In general, the players can only be transferred during a transfer window and according to the rules set by a governing body (fulfilling the requirements of FIFA, continental and national bodies regulating the purchasing and selling clubs). The 2012 Damallsvenskan, part of the 2012 Swedish football season, was the 25th season of Damallsvenskan since its establishment in 1988. The 2012 fixtures were released on 8 December 2011. The season began on 9 April 2012 and ended on 3 November 2012. LdB FC Malmö were the defending champions, having won their 7th title the previous season. In an interesting season finish Malmö had a five points advantage over Tyresö two days before the end. On the second last matchday though Malmö only drew, while Tyresö won and the teams then met on the final matchday to play for the championship. Due to a better goal difference Tyresö won its first title after a late goal for a 1–0 win.
