Emil Pálsson
Emil Pálsson (born 10 June 1993) is an Icelandic former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He played in his native Iceland from 2008 to 2017 and was named the Úrvalsdeild Player of the Year in 2015. He later played several seasons in Norway before severe heart problems ended his career prematurely in 2022. After playing for several of Iceland's junior national teams, he made his lone senior team cap in 2016. Club career Emil started his career with local club BÍ/Bolungarvík before signing with FH at 18 years old. In 2015, he was loaned to Fjölnir for the season. After stellar play with Fjölnir, he was recalled on 25 July and finished the season with FH. After the season he was name the Úrvalsdeild Player of the Year. Ísafjörður
Ísafjörður (pronounced , meaning ''ice fjord'', literally ''fjord of ices'') is a town in the northwest of Iceland. The 2016 Úrvalsdeild karla, also known as ''Pepsi-deild karla'' for sponsorship reasons, was the 105th season of top-flight Icelandic football. Twelve teams contested the league, including the defending champions FH, who won their seventh league title in 2015. The season started on 1 May 2016 and concluded on 1 October 2016. On 19 September 2016, Breiðablik drew 1–1 with ÍBV. This result meant FH clinched their 8th Icelandic title. The 2015 Úrvalsdeild karla, also known as ''Pepsi-deild karla'' for sponsorship reasons, was the 104th season of top-flight Icelandic football. Twelve teams contested the league; the defending champions were Stjarnan, who had won their first ever league title in 2014 going unbeaten in the league. On 26 September FH were crowned champions after a 2–1 win over Fjölnir with one game to spare. This was FH's 7th league title. Keflavík and Leiknir R were relegated from the league. Keflavík had been in the league since 2004 but this was Leiknir R's first ever season in the top flight. The season started on 3 May 2015 and was conclude on 4 October 2015.
