Elliott Ferrous-Martin Platt (born February 24, 2004), known professionally as Elyotto (stylized as ElyOtto), is a Canadian musician. He is best known for his song " SugarCrash!", which went viral on TikTok in early 2021. Life and career Elliott Ferrous-Martin Platt was born in 2004 to parents Mike, a musician and songwriter, and Natasha Sayer, a music teacher and musician, and raised in Calgary, Canada. After getting fired from his job at a pet store in Calgary in spring 2020, ElyOtto committed his time to working on songs and uploading them to SoundCloud. His debut single " SugarCrash!" was released in August 2020. He followed this with his single "Teeth!". "SugarCrash!" went viral on TikTok after ElyOtto posted a video using the song to the platform a week after its release, and he was soon signed to RCA Records. "Sugar Crash!" (stylized as "SugarCrash!") is a song written, produced, and performed by Canadian musician ElyOtto. It was released on August 25, 2020. A remix featuring Kim Petras and Curtis Waters was released on April 23, 2021. Background and composition At one minute and 20 seconds long, the song is in the key of F major with a tempo of 98 beats per minute. It went viral on the video-sharing app TikTok in 2021. "SugarCrash!" incorporates hyperpop with many sound effects, distorted bass, and high-pitched vocals, consisting of two choruses, a verse, and a bridge. Platt claimed in a Genius interview that the song, made with GarageBand, was a soundfont test for '' Pokémon Black and White''. Abhinav Bastakoti (born December 20, 1999), known by his stage name Curtis Waters, is a Canadian-American musician and songwriter. He is known for his self-produced 2020 debut single " Stunnin'". He is the first Nepal-born musician to attain international success. Early life Waters was born in Kathmandu, Nepal. He moved to India at a young age, before moving to Germany at age four, and then relocating to Calgary, Alberta at age ten. Waters settled in Cary, North Carolina in 2017 at age seventeen. The moves were following his parents' educational dreams—his father now has a Ph.D. in environmental science, while his mother has two master's degrees and specializes in GIS. Kim Petras (born 27 August 1992) is a German singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. Between 2016 and 2020, she released music as an independent artist under her own imprint, BunHead Records, before signing with Amigo and Republic Records in 2021.
