Ella Riot
Ella Riot was a musical group based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Founded in 2007 by Tyler Duncan as My Dear Disco, the name change came in March 2011. The band first released the eponymous EP ''My Dear Disco'' in 2007, releasing its first album '' Dancethink LP'' in January 2009. The album fused electro-pop, funk, rock, and techno into a distinctive sound the band members have dubbed "DanceThink". The band released two more EPs in 2010 and their last EP '' Love Child'' in March 2011, before going into an "indefinite hiatus" in October 2011. In 2013, band vocalist Michelle Chamuel took part in the fourth season of ''The Voice'' and finished in second place. Wakarusa Festival
Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival was a four-day music festival held annually in early June from 2004 to 2015 at Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Arkansas. Named for the Wakarusa River, the festival was first held at Clinton State Park immediately outside of Lawrence, Kansas. It moved to its new location, just outside Fort Smith and Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2009. The festival is known for an eclectic mix of music and has featured artists like Grammy award winners the Black Keys, The Flaming Lips, Wilco, and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. Activities other than music included disc golf, yoga, hiking, and human swimming, swimming in the Mulberry River. Though a live performing band, electronic music production was part of their forte since their inception. The band did most of their own production work, recording and mixing, and two of its members had studied electronic music in college. ''The Remixes EP'' is a collection of their remix work from 2009–2010. The first track was made for a Scion A/V remix collection of Todd Edwards' "I Might Be". Scion Audio/Visual, also known as Scion AV, Scion A/V or SA/V, was an in-house record label and "lifestyle marketing" division of the Scion marque produced by Toyota Motor Corporation for the North American market. Along with the rest of the Scion brand, Scion A/V was absorbed into Toyota in August 2016. Marketing Scion Audio/Visual sought to market the Scion automotive brand to younger customers by promoting various music, art, and film projects. Todd Edward Imperatrice (born December 9, 1972), known professionally as Todd Edwards, is an American garage house record producer, DJ and singer from Bloomfield, New Jersey. He began producing primarily for New York's Nervous Records in the 1990s, including under aliases such as the Messenger and the Sample Choir.
