El Reencuentro
El Reencuentro was the name that six ex-members of musical group Menudo used for their comeback project remembering Menudo's golden era. Ricky Melendez, Rene Farrait, Miguel Cancel, Johnny Lozada, Ray Reyes, and Charlie Masso re-joined to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their success in Latin America, North America, Spain and several other countries in the world. They started in 1998 as an experimental project and they had an unexpected success that continued until 2015 through North and Latin America. History 1998 In the late 90's, former members of Menudo reunited for a radio special in Sistema 102 a local Puerto Rican radio station. Hundreds of fans gathered outside the radio station that night and the idea kicked off for a one time concert to be held at the Centro de Bellas Artes in Santurce. Jonathan Montenegro
Jonathan Daniel Montenegro Uzcátegui (born May 11, 1978 in Caracas) is a well known Venezuelan actor and singer. Montenegro was a member of the popular Puerto Rican boy band Menudo. Biography Jonathan Montenegro has been involved in show business since he was a small child, being chosen 1984 to act in two Radio Caracas Television telenovelas, "El Analisis" and "La Ciudad Muerta" ("Ghost Town"), both of which had been written by the well known Venezuelan writers and politician, Romulo Gallegos. In 1985, Montenegro made three theater plays and he debuted in film, making two Venezuelan movies. Roberto Alejandro Avellanet Negrón (born June 30, 1975), known professionally as Robert Avellanet or Roberto Avellanet, is a Puerto Rican singer who was a member of '' Menudo''. Avellanet's uncle is the famous Puerto Rican singer Chucho Avellanet. Biography Avellanet was born in San Juan. He became a teen idol in Puerto Rico and across Latin America after being hired by Edgardo Diaz as a member of ''Menudo'' in 1988. Hato Rey is a former barrio located in the northwest part of the dissolved municipality of Río Piedras.
