Ekaterinoslav
Dnipro, previously called Dnipropetrovsk from 1926 until May 2016, is Ukraine's fourth-largest city, with about one million inhabitants. It is located in the eastern part of Ukraine, southeast of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on the Dnieper River, after which its Ukrainian language name (Dnipro) it is named. Dnipro is the Capital (political), administrative centre of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. It hosts the administration of Dnipro urban hromada. Merefa-Kherson Bridge
The Merefa-Kherson bridge ( uk, Мерефо-Херсонський міст, russian: Мерефо-Херсонский мост) is a single track railway bridge crossing the Dnieper in Dnipro and part of the railway line between cities of Merefa and Kherson. The second oldest bridge in the city, and the first railway-arch bridge in the Soviet Union, at the time of its construction it was the longest reinforced concrete arched bridge in Europe. It crosses from the right bank of the Dnieper, over the "Bishop's Channel" (''"Архієрейська протока"'') and Monastyrskyi Island, continuing over the main body of the river to its left bank. Sobornyi District () is an urban district of the city of Dnipro, in southern Ukraine. It is located in the city's center on the right-bank of the Dnieper River. History According to archeological finds, in the Paleolithic period (7—3 thousand ''Anno Domini'') human settlements appear on Monastyrskyi Island; which is located in Sobornyi District. Traces of Cimmerian settlements during the Bronze Age have been found near today's Sobornyi District's . The current district Sobornyi District was created on 16 March 1936 out of the Kirovskyi and Fabrychno-Chechelivskyi districts. In 1973, a portion of its territory was annexed to the newly created Babushkinskyi District. Proposition ( uk, Пропозиція) is a Ukrainian political party founded in 2020 by the mayors of six major cities: Borys Filatov of Dnipro, Andriy Raykovych of Kropyvnytskyi, Oleksiy Kaspruk of Chernivtsi, Oleksandr Senkevych of Mykolaiv, Andriy Dyachenko of Kakhovka, and Serhii Sukhomlyn of Zhytomyr. The party has been nicknamed the "Party of Mayors". History The Proposition party is the successor to the New European Ukraine political party, which was registered in December 2014.
