Ejnar Mikkelsen
Ejnar Mikkelsen (December 23, 1880 – May 1, 1971) was a Danish polar explorer and author. He is most known for his expeditions to Greenland. Biography Mikkelsen was born in Vester Brønderslev, Jutland. He served in the Georg Carl Amdrup expedition to Christian IX Land, East Greenland (1900), and in the Baldwin-Ziegler North Pole Expedition to Franz Joseph Land (1900–02). With Ernest de Koven Leffingwell he organized the Anglo-American polar expedition which wintered off Flaxman Island, Alaska, in 1906–07. Ejnar Nielsen
Ejnar Nielsen (9 July 1872 – 21 July 1956) was a Danish painter and illustrator, who was a central proponent of Symbolist painting in Danish art. He is also known for his large mosaic on Stærekassen, an extension to the Royal Danish Theatre on Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen. He was a professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 1920 to 1930 and received the Academy's Eckersberg Medal in 1908 and its Thorvaldsen Medal in 1913. Biography Ejnar Nielsen was born in Copenhagen. He was educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts between 1889 and 93 and at Zahrtmann's Painting School from 1895 to 1896. in 1894 he travelled to Gjern in central Jutland where he painted the people and undulating landscapes. Ejnar Mindedal Rasmussen
Ejnar Mindedal, born ''Mindedal Rasmussen'' (19 June 1892 – 23 December 1975) was a Danish Neoclassical architect. He was a traditionalist who adhered to the Danish '' :da:Bedre Byggeskik'' movement which emphasized traditional Danish construction practices. However he did not shy from using modern materials like concrete in, for example, his breakthrough work 'Swimming Pool in Ollerup, for which he won a Silver Medal in the Architectural Design discipline at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam. Education Ejnar Mindedal was born in Ollerup, Funen, Denmark. He was the son of the Daniel Rasmussen (1865-1955) and his wife Thyra F. Sørensen (1862-1949). Ejnar Hertzsprung
Ejnar Hertzsprung (; Copenhagen, 8 October 1873 – 21 October 1967, Roskilde) was a Danish chemist and astronomer. Career Hertzsprung was born in Frederiksberg, Denmark, the son of Severin and Henriette. He studied chemical engineering at Copenhagen Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1898. After spending two years working as a chemist in St. Petersburg, in 1901 he studied photochemistry at Leipzig University for a year. His father was an amateur astronomy, which led to Ejnar's interest in the subject. He began making astronomical observations in Fredericksberg in 1902, and within a few years had noticed that stars with similar spectral type could have widely different absolute magnitudes. In 1909, he took a position at the Göttingen Observatory under director Karl Schwarzschild. Ejnar Martin Kjær (1893–1947) was a Danish teacher and politician who served as the minister of interior in the period between 1945 and 1947. He died when he was in office Biography Kjær was born in Ullits on 9 January 1893. In 1915 he received a teaching diploma and worked as a teacher and then a librarian in Brønderslev until 1935 when he was elected to the Parliament. He served there until 1943.
