Ejler Andreas Jorgensen
Ejler Andreas Christoffer Jorgensen aka Eiler Jørgensen (July 16, 1838 – December 17, 1876) was a Danish-American landscape and portrait painter Biography Eiler Jørgensen was born in Sømme Herred in Roskilde, Denmark. He was the eldest son of parish priest Søren Hillerup Jørgensen (1806-1847) and Conradine van Deurs (1812-1890). He was a student at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (''Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi'') in Copenhagen (1860). He relocated to the United States in 1873. He was professionally active in San Francisco in the 1870s. Jorgensen painted in Hawaii in 1875. He died in Oakland, California in 1876. The Honolulu Museum of Art holds work by Ejler Andreas Jorgensen. Ejler Bille
Ejler Bille (6 March 1910 – 1 May 2004) was a Danish artist. Biography Ejler Bille was born in Odder, Denmark. He was the son of Torben Holger Bille and Anna Kirstine Lysabild Jensen. Bille graduated from Birkerød State School in 1930, and then studied at the arts and craft school (''Kunsthåndværkerskolen'') in Copenhagen with Bizzie Høyer 1930–1932 and the Royal Danish Academy of Art in 1933. In 1931, he made his debut at the Artists' Autumn Exhibition (''Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling''). Bille joined Linien in 1934, Corner in 1940 and CoBrA in 1949. He had concentrated on small sculptures, but moved into painting after joining CoBrA. In 1969 he was a guest professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Art. Ejler Jakobsson
Ejler Jakobsson (December 6, 1911 – October 5, 1984) was a Finnish-born science fiction editor. Jakobsson moved to the United States in 1926 and began a career as an author in the 1930s. He married Edith Kane (1915–1997) in 1935. He worked on ''Astonishing Stories'' and ''Super Science Stories'' briefly before they shut down production due to paper shortages. When ''Super Science Stories'' was revived in 1949, Jakobson was named editor until it ended publication two years later. He was an editor for Graphic Books in the 1950s. Jakobsson returned to editing in 1969, when he took over ''Galaxy'' and '' If'', succeeding Frederik Pohl. He worked to make the magazines more contemporary with the help of Judy-Lynn del Rey and Lester del Rey. He left the magazines in 1974 and was succeeded by Jim Baen.
