Einar Jansen
Einar Jansen (27 March 1893 – 13 December 1960) was a Norwegian historian, genealogist and archivist. He was born in Røyken as the son of priest Jens Jonas Jansen (1844–1912) and Jenny Therese Schroeter (1863–1942). He was a nephew of Jens Fredrik Schroeter. The family soon moved to Sandvika, and after finishing his secondary education in 1911, he enrolled in philology at the University of Kristiania, graduating with the cand.philol. degree in 1919. His final paper, ''Det suspensive lovvetos anvendelse i norsk konstitusjonel praksis'', mixed history and constitutional law. He worked in the National Archives of Norway from 1921 to 1934, and then as the leader of the National Archival Services of Norway in Bergen from 1934 to 1960. Jens Jonas Jansen
Jens Jonas Elstrand Jansen (8 March 1844 – 1 August 1912) was a Norwegian priest, teacher and columnist. Biography He was born in Hobøl as a son of priest David Middelthon Jansen and his wife Eleonore Cathrine Elstrand. In May 1883 he married twenty-year-old Jenny Therese Schroeter from Drammen, a sister of professor Jens Fredrik Schroeter. Their son Einar Jansen became a notable historian, genealogist and archivist. He became a student at Nissens Latin- og Realskole, examen artium, finished his secondary education in 1861 and graduated with the cand.theol. degree in 1869. He first worked as a teacher, at the same time editing the magazines ''Børnenes Blad'' and ''Hjemmet'', but was hired as a curate in Skjeberg in 1873. He became vicar in Varteig in 1883 and in Røyken in 1890, and retired due to bad health in January 1898. Jens Fredrik Schroeter
Jens Fredrik Wilhelm Schroeter (21 May 1857 – 27 April 1927) was a Norwegian astronomer. He was born in Drammen as a son of sea captain Fredrik Julius Bech Schroeter and his wife Julie Schroeter. His paternal family had migrated into Norway from Langeland, Langeland, Denmark in 1787. Through his sister Jenny, he was a brother-in-law of priest Jens Jonas Jansen and an uncle of historian, genealogist and archivist Einar Jansen. He examen artium, finished his secondary education in 1872, and graduated with the cand.real. degree in 1882. His interest for astronomy stemmed from childhood, when his father had taught him the Zodiac, the planets and how to use the sextant. He worked at the observatory in Bossekop from 1882 to 1884, and as an assistant at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute from 1884 to 1888. Røyken
Røyken is a district and village (''bygd'') and a former municipality in Buskerud in Viken County, Norway. In 2020 Røyken was merged with the municipalities of Hurum and Asker to form the new Asker Municipality (informally called "Greater Asker") located in the newly formed Viken county. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Midtbygda. The parish of ''Røken'' was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt).
