Egil Åsman
Egil Åsman (July 20, 1928 – February 3, 1984) was a Norwegian actor and dancer. In the 1950s he was engaged with the New Theater, the Norwegian Theater, the Edderkoppen Theater, the National Theater, and the People's Theater. From the 1960s to the 1980s, Åsman was primarily engaged with the Oslo New Theater. He also performed in a few film roles, as well as in NRK's Television Theater during its debut in 1954 in Olav Engebretsen's ''I moralens navn''. Oslo Nye Teater is a theater located in Oslo, Norway. The theater has its main stage in its own theater house at Rosenkrantz' gate 10. It is one of Norway's most visited theatres. Edderkoppen Theatre
The Edderkoppen Theatre is a theatre located at St Olavs Plass in Oslo, Norway. The theatre is known for varied entertainment, ranging from comedy to musical shows. From 1967 to 2003 it was called the ABC theatre. Since 2016, it has been known as Edderkoppen Scene. History The theatre premiered on 3 September 1942 at a different venue. It turned out that the theater auditorium was too small, and in 1945 moved to St. Olav's place. Einar Schanke (1927–1992) took over as theatre director and theatrical producer in 1967, and the theater changed its name to the ABC theater. The theater, however, retained its traditions under Schanke's management. In 1992 Schanke died, and Tom Sterri, Ketil Aamodt and Anders Moland took over. The National Theatre in Oslo ( no, Nationaltheatret) is one of Norway's largest and most prominent venues for performance of dramatic arts. History The theatre had its first performance on 1 September 1899 but can trace its origins to Christiania Theatre, which was founded in 1829. Folketeateret is a theatre in Oslo, Norway. The building has been used as a movie theatre and as an opera house. The theatre has 1,400 seats. History The theatre itself operated from 1952 to 1959, but the institution has a much longer history. Inspired by the Freie Deutsche Volksbühne in Berlin led to forming of interest organizations in Bergen and Oslo in 1928 and 1929. The idea to establish a good theater for the working class. The ''Folketeatret'' building in Oslo was commissioned in 1929, and the architects Christian Morgenstierne (1880–1967) and Arne Eide (1881–1957) worked on it until it opened in 1935. For financial reasons, a theatre did not open immediately, but a movie theatre was operated. The first theatre performance happened in 1952. Fjernsynsteatret was a department of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) which produced plays for television broadcasting. It opened in 1960 (after about a year of experimental operation), and operated until 1990, when a major reorganisation of NRK took place. Its first leader was Arild Brinchmann, who headed the theatre from its start until 1967. Later directors were Tore Breda Thoresen from 1967 to 1980, and Magne Bleness from 1980 to 1990. Olav Engebretsen, also Olaf Engebretsen (December 25, 1905 – March 30, 1988) was a Norwegian film editor and director. Engebretsen was primarily active as a film editor from 1941 to 1962. The films that he edited include ''Den forsvundne pølsemaker'' (1941), ''Jeg drepte!'', (1942), and ''Line'' (1961). He received the Norwegian Film Critics Award () in 1961 for his editing of ''Line''. In 1954 he directed the films ''Troll i ord'' and ''I moralens navn''. ''I moralens navn'' (The Moral Reputation) is a Norwegian comedy film from 1954 directed by Olav Engebretsen. It stars Eva Lunde, Fridtjof Mjøen, and Anita Thallaug. The film is based on Finn Bø's play with the same name, which premiered at the National Theatre in Oslo on September 22, 1937 and was directed by Bø himself. It was later performed that same year at the Trøndelag Theater. Plot Mona and Egil have grown up with a jumble of parents and stepparents. Now they have a total of three pairs of parents.
