	Edinboro, Pennsylvania Edinboro is a borough (Pennsylvania), borough in Erie County, Pennsylvania, Erie County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Erie, Pennsylvania, Erie Metropolitan Statistical Area. As home to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, it is a small college town, as well as a resort community. The population was 4,920 at the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census, down from 6,438 in 2010. The town is located in the snowbelt region south of Lake Erie. History Members of the Eriez, Iroquois, and Cornplanter Native tribes were the first known residents of the area that is now known as Edinboro.
