Ebbe Sand
Ebbe Sand (; born 19 July 1972) is a former professional footballer from Denmark who played as a forward for Brøndby IF in Denmark and FC Schalke 04 in Germany. He was the Bundesliga top scorer in 2001, and won the DFB-Pokal in 2001 and 2002 with Schalke. On the international stage, he represented the Denmark national team at the 1998 and 2002 FIFA World Cup, as well as the 2000 and 2004 European Championships. At the 1998 World Cup, he scored the fastest-ever World Cup goal by a substitute – 16 seconds after entering the match. In all, he was selected 66 times for the Danish national team and scored 22 goals, from his debut in 1998 until he decided to focus on playing for Schalke in 2004. When his contract with Schalke ran out in summer 2006, he moved back to Denmark to become head talent scout at Silkeborg IF. Ebbe Hertzberg
Ebbe Carsten Hornemann Hertzberg (11 April 1847 – 2 October 1912) was a Norwegian professor and social economist. He was also a legal historian and published several works in that field. Biography Hertzberg was born at Holmestrand in Vestfold, Norway. He was the son of Johan Christian Linde Hertzberg (1816–84) and Inger Horneman (1820–95). He attended the University of Christiania (now University of Oslo). In 1868, he was awarded the Crown Prince's gold medal (''Kronprinsens gullmedalje'') for a thesis regarding changes in Norwegian judicial institutions. He graduated as cand.jur. in 1870. He earned a travel scholarship and studied at Uppsala University from 1870. From 1872 to 1873, he studied under legal historian Konrad Maurer at the University of Munich. Ebbe Schön (13 December 1929 – 4 August 2022) was a Swedish author, folklorist and associate professor in literature at Stockholm University. Besides literature, he studied ethnology, Scandinavian languages and Slavonic languages at Stockholm University. Among other things, he worked as a naval radio operator and as a press officer and film producer at the Swedish Naval Staff, and was a radio and TV producer at Swedish Radio and Swedish Television. Ebbe Schmidt Nielsen (7 June 1950 – 7 March 2001) was a Danish entomologist influential in systematics and Lepidoptera research, and an early proponent of biodiversity informatics. The journal ''Invertebrate Systematics'' was established with significant contributions from Nielsen, and he assisted in the founding of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). Nielsen wrote several books, published over eighty scientific papers, and was highly regarded within the scientific community. Following his death, the GBIF organised the Ebbe Nielsen Prize in his memory, awarded annually to promising researchers in the field of biodiversity informatics. Ebbe Grims-land Ebbe Grims-land (June 11, 1915 – January 27, 2015) was a Swedish composer and viola player. He was also one of Sweden's foremost mandolin players. Ebbe Skovdahl Hansen (5 July 1945 – 23 October 2020) was a Danish football manager. He most prominently was a successful manager at Brøndby IF, for whom he had also played in his active years. He helped turn the side into the most dominant Danish team in the 1990s, and he also managed the club in several European campaigns with regular successful UEFA Cup runs, and a UEFA Champions League qualification. ''Friherre'' Ebbe Gyllenstierna af Lundholm (12 November 1911 – 14 May 2003) was a Swedish Army officer and a modern pentathlete. He competed at the 1936 Summer Olympics and finished 16th. Early life Gyllenstierna was born on 12 November 1911 in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of major general, ''friherre'', Göran Gyllenstierna and his wife Anna (née Neijber). Career He was commissioned as an officer in the Life Regiment of Horse (K 1) with the rank of ''fänrik'' in 1932. He represented Sweden in modern pentathlon in Hungary and Germany 1935-1936 and competed at the 1936 Summer Olympics. Ebbe Einar Gilbe, (12 February 1940 - 29 April 2008) was a Swedish documentary filmer and director. He had previously worked as a gardener and psychiatric nurse in Vipeholm. In 1970, he was employed at Sveriges Television. In 1988, he made the documentary called "Så går ett år", about Sjöbo in Skåne, a municipality which during the duration of filming became known for holding a referendum to decide what to do with the refugees that came to the town. After twenty years at SVT Gilbe became a freelance filmer. In 1996 he made ''Liten Mässa för Svinen'' along with filmer Thomas Frantzén. Ebbe Curtis Hoff (August 12, 1906 in Rexford, Kansas – February 17, 1985 in Richmond, Virginia) was chairman of the Department of Neurological Science at the Medical College of Virginia, founding Dean, School of Graduate Studies and founding director of the Virginia Division of Substance Abuse.
