East Kowloon Line
The East Kowloon line () is a proposed Hong Kong rapid transit line that would run from Diamond Hill to Tseung Kwan O New Town. The route would pass through the hilly Sau Mau Ping residential area, which is not directly served by any MTR, local railway service at present. The scheme was first revealed by the Hong Kong Government in the "''Railway Development Strategy 2014''", published September 2014. The transit scheme is related to government-led redevelopment of the East Kowloon area as well as planned residential development in the Anderson Road, Hong Kong, Anderson Road/Sau Mau Ping district. Overview The estimated construction cost of this line is highest among all seven railway plans proposed in the railway strategy due to the steep terrain along its alignment. Sha Tin To Central Link
The Sha Tin to Central Link (abbreviated SCL; ) is an extension of the MTR rapid transit network. It is divided into two sections. The first section, named "Tuen Ma line (Phase 1)”, runs from Tai Wai station in the New Territories to Hung Hom station in Kowloon. The Tai Wai–Hung Hom segment connected the Ma On Shan line and West Rail line, forming the new Tuen Ma line. Operation of the Tai Wai to Kai Tak section began on 14 February 2020. The opening of the section from Kai Tak to Hung Hom was delayed and opened on 27 June 2021. In anticipation of the Tuen Ma line, the existing Kwun Tong line was extended from its previous terminus at Yau Ma Tei station, Yau Ma Tei to Whampoa station. Shun Tin Estate
Shun Tin Estate () is a public housing estate in Shun Lee, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It comprises 11 residential blocks completed in 1981, 1983 and 1989 respectively. History The estate, reportedly the 105th built by the Housing Authority, began admitting tenants in late 1981. Some came from the old Lei Cheng Uk and Kun Tong estates, making way for redevelopments and improvements there. On 21 July 1986, a HK$24.8 contract was awarded to construct a secondary school at Shun Tin Estate. On 10 October 2015, a 58-year-old man was attacked after disputing with a 46-year-old man at Man Shun Restaurant in Tin Kuen House of Shun Tin Estate. He was rushed by an ambulance to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state and was later transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. Ngau Chi Wan
Ngau Chi Wan was a bay beneath Hammer Hill in New Kowloon, Hong Kong. It now refers to an area where Choi Hung Estate is situated. Features Amidst in an urban built-up area, the original Ngau Chi Wan Village remains. St. Joseph's Home for the Aged is famous in the area and now under redevelopment. The cluster of Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, Ngau Chi Wan Municipal Services Building and Ngau Chi Wan Sports Centre serve the needs of neighbouring housing estates. Sam Shan Kwok Wong Temple () is located in Ngau Chi Wan, along Kwun Tong Road. “Sam Shan” refers to three famous mountains of Chaozhou in Guangdong , namely Du Shan , Ming Shan and Jin Shan. Po Lam () is the northern Train station#Terminus, terminus MTR List of MTR stations, station of the . Po Tat Estate (), formerly called Po Lam Road Housing Development (), is a public housing estate at the junction of Po Lam Road and Sau Mau Ping Road in Sau Mau Ping, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong, near Sau Mau Ping Estate and Tseung Kwan O Tunnel. Choi Wan Estate () is a public housing estate in Ngau Chi Wan, Wong Tai Sin District, Kowloon, Hong Kong, located between Ngau Chi Wan Village and Jordan Valley and the foot of Fei Ngo Shan.
