EV Zug
EV Zug is a professional men's ice hockey team from Zug, Switzerland. It is a member of the National League and plays its home games at the Bossard Arena. History EV Zug won its first championship in the 1997–98 season, and the second one in the 2020-21 season. On October 3, 2011, the club defeated the New York Rangers of the NHL by the score of 8-4 in an exhibition game. Former NHLer Josh Holden, who at the time was suspended from the NLA, was permitted to play and scored twice. He and Fabian Schnyder each had three points and Esa Pirnes also had two goals. Former Ranger goaltender Jussi Markkanen had the win in net in front of a sellout crowd at Bossard Arena. Ivan Hlinka
Ivan Hlinka (January 26, 1950 – August 16, 2004) was a Czech professional ice hockey player and coach. He is considered to be one of the most important figures in Czech ice hockey history. A big centre, his playing style was comparable to Phil Esposito, often scoring with shots from the slot. Playing career Hlinka began to play ice hockey at a young age. When he was six years old, he was playing HC Litvínov's youth team. He played in Czechoslovak league for the first time when he was 16. At age 20, he became a captain Litvínov's men's team and played in the Czechoslovak national team for the first time. He played 256 games as a member of the Czechoslovak national team and scored 132 goals in international games. He also played in 544 games in Czechoslovak league and scored 347 times. Mike Fisher (ice Hockey)
Michael Andrew Fisher (born June 5, 1980) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre who played for the Ottawa Senators and Nashville Predators in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted by the Senators in the second round, 44th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Junior Fisher grew up playing hockey in the Peterborough Minor Hockey Association ( OMHA) with the rep Minor Petes program. He was drafted from Jr. A Peterborough Petes ( OHA) by the Sudbury Wolves in the second round, 22nd overall, in the 1997 OHL Priority Draft. Claude Lemieux
Claude Percy Lemieux (born July 16, 1965) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played 21 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for six teams between 1983 and 2009. Lemieux won four Stanley Cup championships during his career, two with the New Jersey Devils, with whom he won the Conn Smythe Trophy during the team's victory in the 1995 Stanley Cup Finals. He is one of only 11 players to win a Stanley Cup championship with at least three teams. He is also known as one of the best playoff performers, as his 80 career playoff goals are the ninth most in NHL history. Lemieux was born in Buckingham, Quebec, but grew up in Mont-Laurier, Quebec. Raphael Diaz
Raphael Salvador Diaz (born January 9, 1986) is a Swiss professional ice hockey defenceman who currently plays with HC Fribourg-Gottéron in the National League (NL). Diaz previously played with the Rangers during the 2014 season after the trade deadline. He began his professional career with EV Zug in 2003 and has also played with the Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks, New York Rangers and the Calgary Flames. James Black (born August 15, 1969) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey Forward (ice hockey), forward who played eleven seasons in the National Hockey League with the Hartford Whalers, Minnesota North Stars/Dallas Stars, Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks and Washington Capitals from 1989–90 NHL season, 1989–90 to 2000–01 NHL season, 2000–01. Todd Elik
Todd Sloan Elik (born April 15, 1966) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre who played eight seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) between 1989 and 1997. After leaving the NHL he spent several years in Europe, retiring in 2008. Biography Elik grew up in Bolton, Ontario and played Midget hockey with the St. Michael's Midgets. He was granted a walk-on try out with the OHL's Kingston Canadians in 1983 and made the club. Elik played three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Kingston Canadians and North Bay Centennials before turning professional. He made his pro debut with the International Hockey League's Colorado Rangers, and he scored 100 points (44 goals and 56 assists) in his first season. Christopher William Tancill (born February 7, 1968) is an American former professional ice hockey right winger who played in the National Hockey League (NHL). Biography Tancill was born in Livonia, Michigan. As a youth, he played in the 1981 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Southfield, Michigan. Tancill was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in the 1989 NHL Supplemental Draft. Paul Anthony DiPietro (born September 8, 1970) is a Canadian-born Swiss former professional ice hockey player. Wes Walz
Wesley Walz (born May 15, 1970) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and former assistant coach with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). Previously, he played centre for the Minnesota Wild of the NHL and served as team captain. Walz played in 607 NHL games in 11 seasons with Boston, Philadelphia, Calgary, Detroit, and Minnesota. William Henry McDougall (born August 10, 1966) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He is best known for his record-setting scoring performance during the 1992–1993 AHL playoffs, in which he set the AHL records for goals, assists, and points in a single playoff season.
