Extreme Studios
Awesome Comics or Awesome Entertainment (also known as Awesome-Hyperwerks when briefly joined with Hyperwerks Entertainment) was an American comic book studio formed in 1997 by Rob Liefeld following his expulsion from Image Comics, a company he co-founded five years prior. ''Awesome Comics'' was the successor of Extreme Studios and Maximum Press, Liefeld's imprints at Image, and was followed by his new company Arcade Comics upon its closure in 2000. Netflix was in talks to adapt the characters for a series of films in 2018 but the deal collapsed. Rob Liefeld
Robert Liefeld (; born October 3, 1967) is an American comic book creator. A prominent writer and artist in the 1990s, he is known for co-creating the character Cable with writer Louise Simonson and the character Deadpool with writer Fabian Nicieza. In the early 1990s, Liefeld gained popularity due to his work on Marvel Comics' '' The New Mutants'' and later ''X-Force''. In 1992, he and several other popular Marvel illustrators left the company to found Image Comics, which started a wave of comic books owned by their creators rather than by publishers. The first book published by Image Comics was Liefeld's ''Youngblood'' #1. Todd McFarlane
Todd McFarlane (; born March 16, 1961) is a Canadian comic book creator, artist, writer, filmmaker and entrepreneur, best known for his work as the artist on ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' and as the creator, writer, and artist on the superhero horror-fantasy series ''Spawn (comics), Spawn.'' In the late 1980s and early 1990s, McFarlane became a comic book superstar due to his work on Marvel Comics' ''Spider-Man'' franchise, on which he was the artist to draw the first full appearances of the character Venom (Marvel Comics character), Venom. In 1992, he helped form Image Comics, pulling the occult anti-hero character Spawn (comics), Spawn from his high school portfolio and updating him for the 1990s. Brigade (comics)
''Brigade'' is an American comic book published by Image Comics and later by Awesome Entertainment, created, plotted, and originally written by Rob Liefeld and first illustrated by Marat Mychaels (creator of ''Demonslayer'' and artist on ''X-Force: Shatterstar'', '' Glory'', ''Calavera'', ''Vampiress Hella'', '' Djustine'', and many other comics) as a spin-off from the then-popular series ''Youngblood''. Series history The original team was led by Battlestone, who had been a former member of Youngblood, as well as a member of Image Comics' "Golden Age" team the Allied Supermen of America. Bloodstrike (Image Comics)
Bloodstrike is a fictional team of action/adventure super agents, originally published by Rob Liefeld's Extreme Studios of Image Comics in the 1990s. Bloodstrike is a top-secret, super-powered assassination squad deployed covertly by the United States government. All of the members had already died before becoming members of the team, and were brought back to life by the government's Project: Born Again. Publication history ''Bloodstrike'' #1 was cover dated April 1993 and the series ran for 22 issues. There was a special issue 25 printed (after issue 10) as part of the "Images of Tomorrow" event that ran through several titles being published by Image at the time. During issue 25, the Bloodstrike title changed dramatically as Bloodstrike became the name of a solo agent.
