Evocation
Evocation is the act of evoking, calling upon, or summoning a Spirit (supernatural entity), spirit, demon, deity or other supernatural agents, in the Western mystery tradition. Conjuration also refers to a summoning, often by the use of a magical spell. The conjuration of the ghosts or spirits of the dead for the purpose of divination is called necromancy. Comparable practices exist in many religions and Magic (paranormal), magical traditions and may employ the use of mind-altering substances with and without uttered word formulas. Conjuration In traditional and most contemporary usage, ''conjuration'' refers to a magic (paranormal), magical act of invoking spirits or using incantations or charms to cast magical spells. E'voke
E'voke were a British female vocal duo from the mid-1990s, who had several club and chart hits in the UK and are best known for their 1996 single " Arms of Loren". The two members – Marlaine Gordon and Kerry Potter – both went to the Sylvia Young Theatre School and upon graduating went on to star in the BBC sitcom, '' Us Girls''. Gordon also went on to appear in ''EastEnders'' between 1994 and 1995 playing the part of Lydia. Evoke also means to bring or recall. Another meaning is invoke. Career In 1994, they released their first single on the FFRR label, a dance cover version of Stevie Wonder's " I Believe". Although it was not a commercial hit, it did fairly well in the clubs and featured on Direct-Hit remix service. The track was produced by Barry Leng and Duncan Hannant who went on to write E'voke's original hits. Evoke Motorcycles, (逸沃科（北京）科技有限公司), is a manufacturer of smart electric motorcycles. It was officially founded by Nathan Siy, Sebastian Chrobok and Chris Riether in 2014 in Beijing, China but have been in operation developing electric motorcycles since 2012. It currently is headquartered in the Yizhuang District, Beijing, China. In June 2017, Evoke Motorcycles were chosen as one of the 5 most exciting products at CES Asia's Startup Park. Model History The Urban S is an Italian inspired naked street bike (see types of motorcycles) that has a 100% electric drivetrain and a 200 km (125 mile) range. It is the first mass-produced Evoke bike available and was released in China in summer 2015 and is available in selected European countries in early 2018. Evoked Potential
An evoked potential or evoked response is an electrical potential in a specific pattern recorded from a specific part of the nervous system, especially the brain, of a human or other animals following presentation of a stimulus such as a light flash or a pure tone. Different types of potentials result from stimuli of different modalities and types. Evoked potential is distinct from spontaneous potentials as detected by electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), or other electrophysiologic recording method. Such potentials are useful for electrodiagnosis and monitoring that include detections of disease and drug-related sensory dysfunction and intraoperative monitoring of sensory pathway integrity. Evoked potential amplitudes tend to be low, ranging from less than a microvolt to several microvolts, compared to tens of microvolts for EEG, millivolts for EMG, and often close to 20 millivolts for ECG.
