"Everything Is Awesome" (stylized as "Everything Is AWESOME!!!") is a song by Canadian indie pop duo Tegan and Sara featuring American comedy trio the Lonely Island. The theme song to the 2014 Warner Bros. Pictures film ''The Lego Movie'', it was written by Shawn Patterson, Joshua Bartholomew, Lisa Harriton, and the Lonely Island. The single and pop version featured in the end credits of the movie were produced by Mark Mothersbaugh. The version of "Everything Is Awesome" featured in ''The Lego Movie'' and promotional material for the movie was produced by Joshua Bartholomew and performed by Bartholomew and Lisa Harriton. On January 26, 2014, the song received its first US radio airplay via Anything Anything with Rich Russo on the WXPK, WRAT and WDHA radio stations. Tegan and Sara () are a Canadian indie pop duo formed in 1998 in Calgary, Alberta. The band is led by identical twin sisters, Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Quin (born September 19, 1980). Both musicians are songwriters and multi-instrumentalists. The duo has released ten studio albums and earned a Grammy nomination in 2012 for their video album ''Get Along''. A brickfilm is a film or Internet video made by either shooting stop motion animation using construction set bricks like Lego bricks (and Lego minifigure, figures) or using computer-generated imagery or traditional animation to imitate the look. They can sometimes also be live action films featuring plastic construction toys (or representations of them). Since the 2000s The Lego Group has released various films and TV series and brickfilms have also become popular on (Social media, social-) media websites. Jorma Christopher Taccone ( ; born March 19, 1977) is an American writer, producer, director, comedian, actor, and musician. He is a member of the comedy music group The Lonely Island with his childhood friends Andy Samberg and Akiva Schaffer. In 2010, Taccone co-wrote and directed the ''SNL'' spinoff film ''MacGruber (film), MacGruber'', which was his directorial debut.
