''The Herald'' is a nationwide mid-market tabloid newspaper headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, and published by Independent News & Media who are a subsidiary of Mediahuis. It is published Monday–Saturday. The newspaper was known as the ''Evening Herald'' until its name was changed in 2013. It is known for its vendors on the streets of Dublin. History The ''Evening Herald'' was first published in Dublin on 19 December 1891. In 1982 the paper changed its size from broadsheet to tabloid. Until November 2000, the ''Evening Herald'' was produced and pressed in Independent House on Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1. The monochrome printing facility in the basement of this building was then retired, and the paper is now printed in full colour at a purpose-built plant in Citywest, along with the ''Irish Independent'', the '' Sunday Independent'' and various other regional newspapers owned by Independent News & Media. Arnotts (Ireland)
Arnotts is a department store on Henry Street in Dublin, Ireland. It was designed by G.P. Beater for John Arnott, and opened in 1895. It replaced an earlier store founded by George Cannock, Andrew White, and Andrew and Patrick Reid in 1845, which had burned down in 1894. The store is owned by the Selfridges Group, which itself is jointly owned by the Thai conglomerate Central Group and Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund. It is sister stores with the Brown Thomas, De Bijenkorf, and Selfridges department stores through this ownership. The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) is a non-profit organisation owned and developed by the media industry. ABC delivers industry-agreed standards for media brand measurement of print publications, digital channels and events. The ''Herald am'' was a free daily newspaper in Dublin which was published between 2005 and 2010. It was distributed at train stations, bus stops, Luas stations, traffic junctions, and high density footpaths, and was one of two free newspapers distributed to Dublin commuters. The ''Sunday World'' is an Irish newspaper published by Independent News & Media. It is the second largest selling "popular" newspaper in the Republic of Ireland, and is also sold in Northern Ireland where a modified edition with more stories relevant to that region is produced. It was first published on 25 March 1973. Until 25 December 1988 all editions were printed in Dublin but since 1 January 1989 a Northern Ireland edition has been published and an English edition has been printed in London since March 1992. Origins The ''Sunday World'' was Ireland's first tabloid newspaper. Hugh McLaughlin and Gerry McGuinness launched it on 25 March 1973. The Wanted
The Wanted are a British-Irish boy band formed in 2009, and originally consisted of members Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker, and Nathan Sykes. The group signed a worldwide contract to Universal Music, Island Records and Mercury Records, and was managed by Scooter Braun. The Wanted's released their debut album, '' The Wanted'' in 2010.
